Yes the team changed to Discovery and todays stage exposed certain weaknesses in Lance Armstrong and his team. After today it would come to no suprise if a TMobile rider wins it, but then again I'm expecting Lance to win.

WTF^. That stuff is so ridiculously difficult and crazy. If you wreck, you get run over by at least three people before anyone notices what is happening. Lance Armstrong, clinicly speaking, is one of the most physically fit people on this planet, a true human machine. If you want proof, read the numerous Outside or Sports Illistrated articles on the matter. Those guys ride 130-200 miles per day, and then do it the next day and the next day for a week at a time. I would like to see you ride 910 miles in one week (130*7=910), let alone with one nut. Fuck off.

i wonder what lance could score on the beep test (aka. shuttle run) wayne gretzkey can get a 24 and my highest is 14 lol so im guessing hes in the 30 range

 
im not too sure if he is going to win this year...i dont think he is. there are so many up and coming riders that might take it. and dont get my wrong, lance is an amazing rider..hopefully what he is going to put forth in this race is gonna be enough!

i have my hopes for lance, however there are some factors you are all overlooking. lance didnt start training untill january this year when he announced he was going to ride in the tour one last time, he usually starts in november or october. although i do think he will win, i think it will be a close (very close) race.

a guy from Denmark won the last 2 stages... lance armstrong is now in 3rd place overall in the tour de france by 2:18... tomorrow is a rest day and the 10th stage will be on tuesday...

My guess would be that Armstrong would be terrible at the beep test. It's about agility, not speed and fitness. Have you seen the size of Lance's legs, him trying to hit the line, turn around and sprint off would be like trying to parallel park a semi, or use a piece-of-shit Mach 3 razor under your nose, although most of you dicks are too young to shave yet. You can't say Armstrong isn't a legend because a) he is, b) sure he has a great team, but he wouldn't be in if he wasn't great too, c) if anyone else could do it, why haven't they, d) even Jan Ullrich said "The only way I could beat Lance Armstrong is if I had a motor" and e) you couldn't do it so shut the fuck up,

ive watched each stage up til today, its so exciting, tues-thurs are suppose to be some of the most intense mountain rides of the tour and lance excels in the hills especially if he has his team there with him. anyone doubting lance as one of the best clearly has no idea what they are talking about

lance is not the best bike rider of all time, but yes he is amazing. Whats even more amazing is how stupid some of you are, if you dont know what your talking about just shut up. also in my opinion guys like Jan Ullrich and Alexander Vinokourov aren't being blown out like most of you think, they just dont have big teams to pull them all the way up, yesterday lances team struggled and because of that he struggled too. I think if the discoverry team cant keep up and lance is left alone like all the other guys it'll make for one wacked out shibtastic race, thats when we'll really see whos the best are.

hardcore road bikers are INSANE. I was going up tis hill in a car the other day going like 60 and it took like 4 minutes. Wher i got to the top there were fucking bikers who rode the whole thing=legs of steel.

If it's so easy, why hasn't anyone else done it? Why have so few men won 6 Tour de Frances? If you do a little reading about the Tour, every team has their version of Lance Armstrong. That's the dynamic of the Tour for the teams. That's how it works. It really seems like you don't understand the sport.

However, none of them happen to be as talented or as doped as him.

Doping in endurance sports, and especially in cycling, remains prevalent. The only reason many of the riders in the tour haven't been caught is because their doping techniques are so far ahead of the regulatory body's test methods.

Lance is an amazing human being. The fact that he's alive, not to mentaion accomplishing the feats of men who suffered none of the health setbacks he has encountered, is noteworthy enough.

But I digress...

^ Yes other teams have their equivalent of Lance Armstrong, but they also have sprinters and king of the mountain guys aswell whereas Discoverry is 100% devoted to Lance.
