well you know i actually have done a bunch, but you can only come up with some much information, and if value some of the people's opinions on this site, personal experience etc, so i have my opinion from what ive read now i want to find out what other people think

maybe it is a badly frazed question but i think most people would still understand it

i said look at the naxos dumb ass plus he has to buy the bindings some where they don't just fall outof the sky, and their website has all the info

Glad you done research, I skied the Fritschi Freerides all season long and was very impressed. Without a doubt the best AT binding out there. NAXOS are crap, I know a guy who is on his 5th pair. Naxos ar'nt safe and you could be seriously injured using a pair. They are improving them with stronger plastics but would'nt risk it.

Anyway the Freerides are really nice for touring and for downhill. There're quite heavy but its worth it if you jump cliffs, big turns in pow and dont want to bust binding. If you dont ski a DIN of 11 or are under 160 pounds I would suggest the Diamir 2. There're a lot lighter and go to a DIN of 10. The toe piece is slightly weaker than the Freerides and they tend to brake if it smashes against a rock, but most AT bindings will. You can take the freerides in bounds but dont take them on the bumps or hard pack since there is a lot of lateral twist felt (common in every AT binding out there)

If you are just buying the Naxo becuase of the triple pivot, dont, you dont skin faster nor is there an advantage.

If you got any more questions, feel free to drop me a line.

Both downhill boots and touring boots fit with the Freerides due to the toe height adjustment.

A friend uses some fritschi bindings, cant remember the model, probably the freerides. They are pretty light, although weight becomes very important when you are the ones sliding them uphill. I would love to get a pair to put on some old fat twins for touring around the place, might get around to it someday.

Im surprised no tele guys have got on here yet telling you to try that. Its damn hard to learn, but when you get it, and you look good, its awesome. If you get the patterned base skis, you dont even need to skin up, although they do slow you down going down the slopes. Remember, 'free the heel, free the mind.' Damn hippies.

In tractor pulls, a 'full pull' is the best you can get. Ahh, how sport mirrors life.
