Toughest mountain on east coast

Lakeridge Ontario...when you get off the lift and have to skate uphill to find a slight decline, thats tough

Sunday River has some of the tougher trails... But then again it has some of the easiest trails as well....

there are some hard runs to be found on stowe

oh yeah? well me and my friends have been bathing off the southern coast of st. bards, chilling with spider monkeys. tripping on acid gave us a whole new perspective on shit.

stowe is nasty...but jay has a ton of challenging stuff too

Are you feelin me? I'm on a killin spree.

There's nothing to lose when noone knows your name.

To me, Jay Peak is tough, but its not mind boggling technical - its super fun and challenging. I love to just ride there.

Sunday River, oh man talk about some hairy glades. That's some fun stuff right there. Some of those sections you just have to stop to figure out your line. I love that place...

But if Mad River gets good snow, then that place is insane.

southington and mohawk in my opinion are the gnraliest fuckin mountains in the east

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
its ski season
jay is the mountain that's always kept me on my feet. the glades there are oddly wide, in spots, so it's not so technical, but it's just fun.
i'd be willing to bank on mad river, but i've never skiied the glen, so i can't say myself.
stowe is pretty gnar, as well as whiteface and gore. i like all 3 of those places.......
very subjective, but good, question.
ski magazine did a list of hardest trails on the east i think this was it
1) Paradise at Mad River Glen
2) Star at Stowe
3) something at killington i think
-ryan kavana
you are all fools, the hardest mountain, by FAR on the east coast, actually it is in michigan i think but wtv close enough, is mount bohmeia, maybe some hills ahve runs that are hard, but bohemia is almost all runs that are hard, crazy
killington has outer limits. steepest lift serviced terrain in the east but it isnt too hard. and sugarbush has some pretty gnarly trails on castlerock and loncoln peak such as rumble, ripcord, lift line, paradise etc.
Mad River has 3 cliffs and Octopuses Garden. Arguably the fuckin gnarliest shit out there considering the consequences of taking the wrong route down
Jesus saves!
Gretzky gets the rebound. he feeds the puck to LeClair. he shoots! he scores! the crowd goes wild
whiteface is flat..but if you know the right places there or gore then its pretty fuckin tought and outer limits on a mogul day..oohh boy
does tuckermans count? ive never been but it sounds gnar.
Sugarbush, Mad River, Stowe, if your willing to make a little hike at sugarbush you can get some really tough stuff.
Stowes famous four(goat and star in partic) and killingtons fusion zones are like whoa
XxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXx
Still no snow on the east coast.
XxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXx
cannon, hard trails that are marked are tramway and kinsman ridge glade, but if u know where some of the back bowl trails are some that go around where the old man is you got some insane skiing, deep snow too, half the time u got slough running by u while skiing
yeah I'd definitely have to say tuckermans ravine on mt washington, even tho Ive never been to mt. washington... 'a total of 131 people have died in the vicinity of Mt. Washington...' (timefortuckerman.com)
sherLocke outer limits isnt the steepest lift servace terain in the east its the stepst mogul trail in the earst
but for hardest terain most big moutains have there share of sick woods that only the locals no about and if you took those into consideration it would be very hard to tell who is but as for acctually designated terain id have to go with mad river glen
what happined to drugs, sex, & rock and roll...now adays we have aids crack and techno.......
GNR
yeah, i've hiked tucks in the summer. easily the gnarliest skiing possible out here......
idk, i got my ass handed to me last spring in the moguls on (i think it was) goat at stowe. frontflip double eject right under the lift.
^haha i love double ejecting in moguls. Everybody does it sometime. When you are turning and you lean too far forward and just fly out of your skis, what a classic.
any place in central ny at noon on a 2 ft powder day. All the 'fresh' is gone and you are left with a mountain covered in 2ft tall piles of snow and ice and pieces of people who couldnt handle it. Its pretty fuckin hard core, this one time in the morning i saw this old guy die of exposure cuz the snow was so deep and the slope was so gentle, that he couldnt move!
That place I think it is bohmeia in Michigan...they have like signs that say ski at your own risk you might die and stuff...the terrain is all rough and natural with waterfalls and cliffs every where....the place is dangerous...believe it or not Blue Knob in Pa has way harder trails than Killy
yeah mad river is the toughest shit i've skied, by far. i had to stop for a while and wonder how some people got down some parts. the unmarked terrain is wild.
-chris
