Tough Decision

New to the site.

I am having difficulty choosing skis for the upcoming winter. I am 5'10 210 pounds, like to ski trees, drop cliffs, bomb chutes, ski switch on occasion in pow, throw some spins off booters, just have fun. Anyways, i have been looking at the Moment Night Train, and also the Bibby. From reading reviews they both sound like they are great skis. I can't decide between them. Any help is appreciated!

line influence 115s may bu up your alley, there stiff cause of the metal matrix and have plenty of float with the 115mm waist

Message a mod(green name) and have this moved to gear talk. you will get a lot more help there.

Hello and welcome to NS. Next time, when you have any questions concerning gear and whatnot - post your thread in "Gear Talk". You will get much better answers there!

Sorry, I live on the east coast and can't answer your question.

i like to support the smaller companies, and i have heard that the obsethed gets some tip deflect due to the big abrupt rocker?

Well then a lot of people are going to tell you to check ON3P. I'd say check moment, they have a few stiffer skis. Or maybe the AK JJ.

I would go with the on3p caylor in a 191, the armada ak jj, or the bibby. The bibby and caylor charge through anything, and the ak jj is going to be at its absolute best in fresh. All things being equal, I would buy the caylor specifically because the customer service with on3p, those guys are on here all the time, and constantly taking care of their customers on this site. What other company do u know that made t shirts with a certain graphic a year after the skis were pressed and sold, then shipped one of those t's to every person who bought that graphic the year before. If u wanna support a small company support on3p

Night Trains are more fun in terms of quick slashing, more pivoty etc, Bibby's want to make larger turns, but both can handle all conditions and do what you named..

I like the Bibby's because I can take them out any day and do what I like, NT's are a bit to fat for that and no camber..

Nordica Patron or Raddict. Patron is rockered in tip and tail camber under foot, torsionally really stiff but still playful in tip and tail. Handles better in deeper snow because the sidecut carries through past the contact points and has a less "knifey" (sorry terrible adjetive, doesn't feel hookey or abrupt turning) feel then say anything with a five dimention shape ( JJ, Bent Chetler, S7). Amazing skis.

Raddict is very similar but stiffer and wider,

Thanks for all of the suggestions! i will have to check out the Caylor. oh and im also looking at the Mr Pollards Opus. Is it to soft for a guy my size? And is it stabe at speed? Because we all know the old Ep Pro was the softest stick ever created. lol
