Touble by the cops

sup ns. last night i was drinking in the dorms celebrating my friends birthday and it was pretty late so i was going to go back to my room and just go to sleep. on my way back, the cops stopped me and told me i was stumbling (which i wasn't) and they started to question me. being stupid, i answered there questions even though i clearly shouldn't have and i should have just remained silent.

then, they asked to see my id and then told me to empty my pockets. not knowing that my friend had put a beer in my pocket i thought i only had my phone and wallet so i showed them. they saw the beer, took it and then they radioed in something like some sort of code. after that they told me to walk with them for a minute, to make sure that i was ok.

i asked them if i was going to get in trouble with the school for this. they said i might get an email or something and taht was about it. they never wrote my name down or anything, they only got a quick chance to see my drivers license. they let me go and i went to my room and went to sleep...

how much trouble will i get in for this?

 
you didnt know you had a beer in your pocket? soudns like you were either dick limping drunk or drinking really tiny beers. either way you wont get in that much trouble.
 
i was caught pissing in a bush with a beer in my hand and our campus police (public safety) let me go. depends on the college tho
 
if i was a cop and i'd see someone peeing in public i'd push them forward into their own piss, then arrest them for peeing in public (or however that's called in english) i'd be such an awesome cop ...
 
when we were in college you put a beer in my backpack's outside mesh pocket. I got fined $150, had to take alcohol classes, lost my license (took $125 to get it back), and was on school probation.

and we were definitely dick limping drunk.

goodluck getting away with that in china!! everyone takes pisses in the street. during the day time non drunk people you will see them taking a leak on the wall, its kind of gross but you get used to it. hahah i got a feeling when i get back to canada im going to get in trouble for pissing in public cause im so used to it...
 
haha, if you were a Belgian and tell me that story i'd call shenanigans immediately, but since you're american i'm not sure ....
 
were you rocking parachute pants or something? its pretty hard to not feel a beer in your pocket.

and I'm assuming you're a minor? There's the slight possibility of a MIP but it's unlikely. They usually write you up for that right away. Don't sweat it too much man. Just learn from it and move on.

 
fyi, if a cop asks you to identify yourself, you have to. They will take you in if you refuse to communicate with them.

I have had a friend get an mip because a cop asked him a question while he was up in his face and smelled the alcohol. your best bet if you are drunk is to mime that you cant speak, and that you need something to write with. then answer all their questions by writing.
