Ok so this won't be that long. But Racism.

Why is it that blacks are proected from racism everywhere I turn? Why is it that I am persecuted ona daily basis for being a Christian yet it doesn't matter? Ok blacks DESERVE racism, why? Because they are racist right back. For example. How many songs blatantly say WHITE PEOPLE! in the back ground of todays popular music? None. Todays rap? Blacks use racial slang towards both of us on a regular basis. Now there are Black scholarshiup funds in the United States. Have you heard of a caucasian scholarship fund? NO That is because they have a lower standard. It is fact. Am I saying they are not as smart? No They try less? Yes. Just for the record, I didn't say whether I was white or black in any of my scholarship essays. Do black people need opportunities because they are oppressed? No. You know how much work it is to get out of the ghetto? Like 6 blocks of WALKING. When I turned 18 my family sent me out and told me GOOD LUCK. Nothing more, I started with nothing. BIG WHUP. welcome to the world. It is their decision to sling or whatever. That is their own decision people. There aren't white activist groups. You don't have to be scared when you are black to be around whites. How many neighbor hoods have you heard of where black people j"just don't go?" None, blacks are in Beverly Hills and LOTS of nice places, Will Smith, or Jesse Jackson? But now their are neighbor hoods where if you are white you just don't go their. Why? BECAUSE THE BLACKS RUN IT. WTF is that. Now I am not anti black, I have a few black friends. My point is that its over dun. And while I am at i DIND IT OFFENSIVE THAT SOMEONE WOULD CREATE A THREAD Purposefully dissing people riding for Jesus. I am a Christian, just as I am white. It is persecuting me just the same yet the site allows it, and the world allows it. Why is this? Why can we not have a nation under God, that was BUILT under God?

yup, i agree with you but it still pisses my parents off when i say stuff like this. even my grandma started yelling at me at the thanksgiving dinner table because we were arguing about affirmative action. she was pissed
 
Ya so right, blacks got freedom from persecution cause of all the publicity now they think they can do it to us? WTF!?
 
Yep I totally agree. So many black people are racist towards other races, and then they are the first to play the race card and call other people racist if something doesn't go their way.
 
Let's back up a bit. First of all, let me say that I agree with your argument wholeheartedly - and I have made your exact point to many people many times, to which I am usually called racist.

BUT - the answer is certainly not to be racist toward black people because of this. If more white people are racist, it just fuels the fire - If you ask me, we need to be extra careful about racism. We need to be less divided, not more divided.

if you let people influence you're attitude towards life by getting angry at their ignorance, your life is going to suck that much more.

drawing attention to the things that piss you off doesn't do much to resolve them anymore, there's more effective ways. Give them a reason to be given their respect, you can't just demand it. I don't know, what I'm trying to say is you should live the way that makes sense to you, and chances are that if you have to be incredibly defensive about how you think things are, maybe you should reevaluate who you think you are.

Changing opinions of a huge mass of people is next to impossible unless you're willing to be the one to expose the true raw feelings of how it makes you feel, with art or something that catches people's opinions... uhh, i'm getting completely off track here, how about, you just live the way that makes sense to you, and fuck everyone else. dice?
 
THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Ive been wantin this to be known forever...there are a lot of racists that are black...And i get persectued for being a christian and they dont think they r racist so ya...I like all of the black people i know..but icant stand this whole minority thing..it sucks so ya..

People are always going to find ways to put themselves above others, that is just human nature unfortunately. Discrimination isn't just limited to race and religion, people will criticize you about anything they can, whether it is looks, wealth, intelligence, or any other trivial reason to put others down. There is no feasible way that I can think of to eliminate discrimination, people are just to ignorant to accept others' flaws/differences.
 
But black on white discrimination isnt about putting someone above someone else - its about racism, plain and simple, it just doesnt get called that when a caucasian is the victim.

I agree with you, except for the thing about Jesus. Why would anythink Jesus cares whether or not they participate in a snowsport. I'm christian too, but why would you "ride for Jesus"? All for Jesus and everything, but it really is irrelavent

I just find it offensive when someone flaunts their religion. Most of the time it gives of one of those "holyer than thou" vibes, and makes me just wanna smack them

well nevermind. i can't find it. It was related to affirmative action, and how my father was denied management at Boeing, for 3 years in a row, because een though he scored higher on the tests, he didn't get high enouhg to overcome the handicap he is dealt by being a white male. He lost to minorities 3 times, when he actually scored higher. So let me ask this, take an under qualified person over someone who deserves the job? bullshit.
 
I cant wait for tomorrow, so you can tell me about how the black man is still opressed, and its me thats doing the opressing. I agree that there are still racist white people out there - and I think they are all jackasses. I am not a racist, but Im grouped in with slave owners by leaders of black power groups who insist that "The white man is bringing us down".

As for affirmative action - the definition for the word racism on dictionary.com is this:

Discrimination or prejudice based on race.

Explain to me how favoring a non white over a white based on nothing other than their race does not fit the definition of racism. In other words, the government has come up with the perfect solution for racism - MORE RACISM.

By allowing affirmative action continue, and by not creating an uproar when a black person in a position of leadership makes a racist comment, we are perpetuating racism. By giving minority teenagers a lift over majority teenagers, we are admitting to them that the system is racist, and doesnt think they can make it.

If we want to end racism and treat everyone equally, then lets do it. Lets severely reprimand the white person who makes a very public racist comment, and then treat a black person or another minority with the exact same diligence.

I am so sick of the popular media explaining to me that I am a bad person for being a white male.

By the way, feel free to insert "woman" in place of minority for any part of this reply - the exact same thing goes on there. In that case, the women may have more of a cause for distress, but I still dont believe that you are going to solve a discrimination problem with more discrimination.

If everyone wants to be treated equally, then lets start treating everyone equally.
 
well i don't know if this has anything to do with the thread casue i have yet to read it but yesterday at lunch my friends spent 40 minutes arguing why the cat in the hat book had a subliminal message of communism

Have you heard of affirmative action? Or maybe all the "politically correct" rules about not being able to say the word "Christmas" in my school but any other holiday is just perfectly ok, because it is a minority.

it's everywhere, and if you read it, you would understand.
 
oh contrare, have you seen micheal jackson's before and after pictures? i am pretty sure that he grew up as a black kid and chose to become white. correct me if i am wrong

fireunderwater there's nothin wrong with bitchin once in a while. usually after you complain about something, you realize how foolish you are for doing so in the first place, and you usually can learn something from it.

the way i see it is people are stupid, there has been and will always be idiots in this world. all we can do is live our life to be the best person we can be and try not to let idiots lead you around. i dont think as many people are raised today with good morals so they lie, cheat, pull the racism card, whatever helps themselves out. i wish everyone would be more honest and caring because that would solve so many of our problems.

but i realize this won't happen. the world is too big and some people are always going to be too impressionable and cold.
 
yeah my teachers can get in trouble if they just say christmas. its retarted that some faggots actually get offended when they say christmas, and not all the other christmas holidays.
 
why the fuck are you citing affirmative action?? it has NOTHING to do with religion, or Christianity. at all.

What school do you go to? i live in the sammamish/redmond area, and there is no policy in lake washington school district that prevents someone from mentioning Christmas.

it's not everywhere, it's just perpetuated because we are Christian nation and people would love to believe that they're discriminated against because they're a majority and they know a full force would be behind them.
 
at my schoolwe wern't suposed to say christmas.... and the facutly had to say happy holidays instead of and actuall religious date like christmas or quanza
 
that's kinda my point, our district doesn't have such a policy, but if it would then it would prevent ALL religious holidays from being mentioned, not just and ONLY christmas.
