Torstein Horgmo trip cork VIDEO

OMG......he rode away from that like nothing happened, such a dangerous trick though it seems like. Thats cool to see that he stomped it

not saying it was just a plain trip back, but it wasn't a trip cork, some trip rodeo deal that i don't possess the math skill to name. either way..

cooooool

it is a trip cork because in board you can do a bunch of corks like frontside corks and shit. A cork in skis is considered as a "dip" in snowboard, so you have to throw down hard to do a cork on board. Thats sick! Going to be awsm to see what people are going to throw in comps next year...

no, he doesnt do anything like a dub rodeo 10 into a rodeo 3/5. he does three flips and one rotation so its a triple rodeo 14!

ridonkulous
Thats so SICK he didnt even start his third flip until (never thot I would say that until like 2012) he was past the knuckle

yeah it seems like a cork on a snowboard is more of a flip, when you see snowboarders do double tens in the the pipe, it just looks like more of a flip, so im gonna say this is an acceptable cork on a snowboard, i cant wait till someone brings this to skis!

pretty damn sick, but definitely not a trip cork. Unless corks are something completely different on a snowboard, I would say that was a trip rodeo, which has still never been done before him (right?). The second video posted in this thread was a solid trip cork, but it wasn't landed. if you compare the two they look nothing alike.

are u kidding me. watch it again and tell me he doesnt rotate in his first two flips.. if pause it between his 2nd and 3rd flip he is switch, so he had to do at least half a rotation to be there or else he would be regular at that point.. so no, it isnt "obvious"

it looks more like a dub cork 9, to an

insanely cork 5(so corked it almost looks like a blackflip 180 out), so

trip cork 14?

Most of you kids have no clue what trick is what. I cant believe that he did a trip to 14. It's a flipped 5 to 3 to 5. not that hard to see. Really Fuckin Nuts!!! Torstein is the most naturally talented rider on the planet.

-Mees' snowboarder brother posting on his account-
To everyone saying it's not a triple cork:
Skiing and snowboarding have different definitions for corks and rodeos. In snowboarding, any flip + spin trick is either a cork or a rodeo, doesn't matter if you do a full flip or an off-axis rotation. And most of the time if you don't go inverted very far, it's just called a spin. Unlike skiing, where it's called a cork when you go the tiniest bit off-axis, and an underflip when you do a complete flip.
Our corks are comparable to your underflips, and our rodeos to your flatspins. So in snowboarding terms, this is a frontside triple cork 1440, and definitely not a triple rodeo or backflip.

Correct, except you forgot about Michael Chucks! Which is pretty much a flat spin on a snowboard. Best way to describe it is a rodeo without your feet going above your head.
Obviously has nothing to do with the video, just thought I would add that to your definitions.

ya honestly.. he's probably got the air awareness of everyone in this entire thread combined but there is no possible way i would go into anything like that without a helmet even if it is soft snow. Sick, but he could have at least slapped one on until he stomped it a couple times at least

Not gonna happen though, this is a guy who claims he could hurt his head even more with a helmet... That is plain dumb if you ask me. Not hating, Torstein is one of the sickest boarders out there.

i remember x-games big air last year. He was wearing a helmet, but only during the jumps. He took it off as soon as he finished the run.

And the snow is soft at Folgefonna.

Nope, what you're describing is still just called a rodeo. A chuckflip/michalchuk (named after Mike Michalchuk) is just a backside rodeo 5 in a pipe. It's a sick move though.
