okay i just recently started downloading with torrents and just have a few basic questions i guess, and sorry i just didn't feel like using the searchbar...

what is the usual speed you get for downloading?

what program do you use?

is there any other places besides thepiratebay.org, cause i can't find what i want?

If its a good one, over 600kb/s, but on average its in the 500's. It will be lower the more you are downloading, and it also eats all of your internet if you don't put a limit. Uploading slows it down the most. The two posts before me have listed good sites.
 
while were on the subject of torrents.....can anyone help me with azureus? I heard theres something you can do to make your downloads faster but I can't figure out what it is, anyone know?

okay, i downloaded the song i want. now i don't know how to get it in mp3 format. it is an .exe file, and it's a song. help?

 
also a good idea on torrents is to use some sort of program that hides your ip address like this one

its 35 bucks but for that price it will pretty much garuntee that you wont get caught for downloading and if you are downloading torrents all the companies have to do is bring up the torrent and see who is downloading or has downloaded and they figure that out by the ip addresses
