I tried posting in the regionals but no one even saw it. Anyways, my friends and I are going to Toronto tomorrow and I have some questions.
1.) What part of the city is a good place to book a hotel based on safety and walking distance to the bars
2.) Any of you guys have good experience with a "Novelty" ID place and want to share it with me?
3.) overall is it a safe city?

 
check out the westin, downtown. everytime i visit me and my buddies stay there. i mean, it's probably only because we have connections there, but it seems like a very central location - walking distance from pretty much anything you want to do - and we've never had issues with little room parties and that sort of thing.
 
yeah it's right on the harbor, so it's a nice little spot, and it's pretty quiet there too. it isn't in the heart of downtown, it's a little ways out, but whenever we went to bars we always hiked it. and there's an all you can eat breakfast buffet that i cant remember the name of that's like a 5 minute walk up the street.it's unreal. def look into it
 
so i live right in downtown Toronto, about 5 minutes away from yonge and dundas.
first of all safety? You wont have any problems unless you go looking for a fight, then you will get your ass handed to you. Don't be a jackass and nothing will happen.
Fake ID's... only a real idiot can not tell the difference, especially if you are planning to buy an ID downtown and use it downtown, seriously its barely worth your time. They look fake as shit, they work pretty well outside of the core but if you get passed a bouncer with it in toronto he is just letting you by, he knows its fake.
hotels... all are pretty central to everything, depends what you want to spend. the King eddie is amazing but $$
other than that they are all the same bed bug infested shit-holes, your only here for 2 days so save your money, go where is cheap.
as for clubs just go to the club district and just hop around till you find what your looking for.
if your young and looking for easy sex, brunswick house aka the brunny is among the easiest BUT they know fake ID's really well.

oh and fake id's just walk up yonge from dundas, there are a half dozen places that do them, one upstairs right by gould street (dunno if its still around) but they are hard to miss, all located between dundas and college st really.
 
i signed up to travel zoo and got a really good deal on delta right close to the bus station. i would basically say stay close to dt, and out of china town. toronto didn't come off too unsafe to me...
 
Thanks man. and We are all 19 anyways so i wouldn't be using them in canada, just shitty college bars back here in the states. thanks tho i appreciate it
