people were paying close to 300 just before the boston and burlington shows sold out..

I wouldnt have gone had my ticket not cost me 20 bucks.

No, catchy beats/choruses combined with 13 year old bandwagon jumpers is the Jack Johnson of hip-hop (AKA Thrift Shop). Macklemore has some actually decent stuff, but I wouldn't pay half that to go to his show.
 
listening to the album right now trying to motivate myself to buy them. but i cant pay more than $50. i would sooner see swedish house and those are going for the same price
 
Popular songs start out not well known, but they become mainstream because they are so genuinely catchy and overall jive as fuck.

Why do all dope songs have to be mainstream garbage to people?
 
Dude music is subjective. I bet half the artists you love I would think are totally garbage. I personally think Macklemore is a true lyricist that has a message is most of his songs. Thats something hard to come by nowadays with the garbage being put out there.

And the Heist is awesome. There was only 3-4 songs I didn't quite like.
 
Honestly Thrift Shop is nothing like his usual stuff, a lot of people make assumptions on him after listening to only 1 song, he has a ton of amazing songs out there

WTF is up with the Macklemore phase and when they hell did he blow up so big? Guess I haven't really been paying attention, saw him the first two years he came to Burlington, and it was the same exact show twice in a row just some song variation. Then he started making music about thrift shops and giving back to the community now I just kinda think he's a douche.
 
they always make few dumb, mainstream tunes. with them they get famous. but macklemore has lots of good songs
 
What the actual fuck.... last year/2 years ago tickets to his shows were like $15.... good for him blowing up, not good for og fans /hipster
