Toronto International Ski & Snowboard Show

i'm thinking of going. lots of good deals, last time i went 2 years ago lots of like 50% stuff like gloves and helmets. worth going, especially outerwear. i think they have some skis and bindings, and there is the swap.

really??? im shocked to hear that. because at alot of shows(i.e. Hobby Show), here in Toronto especially, the booths have stuff thats "on sale" but in reality is more expensive at the show than in the store.

can anybody verify this?? i really need a new jacket, but on a budget (

at the hobby show 3 years ago, i got 200 off my truck, and a bunch of extras, so once you count in the parking, admission, it was worth it. at the ski show, i saw lots of good deals on outerwear, but if yur saving like 20$ after parking(assuming u drive there), admission and wat not, i find the only good reason to go after something is when its like a 50$+ difference.

True for sure......even random vendors that have NOTHING to do with skiing. They have some pretty sick deals on snowboard stuff, but for ski stuff not too much. Honestly though for outerwear you have to dig deep, REALLY DEEP. Like i found a Orage York jacket, and Noho Pants in XL for 300 both, but that shit is rare. It can be pretty fun though.

i would say the same about the "magic bullet" blender thing!

that little gadget makes a good margarita on those nice sunny spring days. nothingl ike skiing with a little tequila in you

well at least you didn't "set it and forget it" with a conventional oven with your pizza in it. that shit could cause a fire

There are always great deals on outerwear at the show. It's a good place to find that item you wanted at the start of last session but didn't get.

I didnt see many deals on skiis or boots, but every year is different, but outerwear is everywhere. it is definatly worth a look!

alright guys, thanks for the info. i guess ill round up a whole buncha people and just head over there next month.

now all we need is some snow :P

Good friend of mine is gonna grab a pair of skis to learn on, so I think that we're gonna head there feor the swap.

I can always use another jacket and goggles helmet etc.

you'll have to come by and check it out. usually there's not much of a deal on new DVDs but definately deals on last years

did anyone see the insane amount of pivot bindings at the swap?

pretty fucking good prices too :]

i will pick some up next year, i really have no $$ right now.

Man those pivots. My brother got a pair of p18s with skis for $75. I wished i could have got some things but i have no money at all. It sucks. The claim premiere was okay too.

yeah man, i think i saw thosee.

but i def dont need 18s.

i didnt buy for a few reasons.

#1, dont need new bindings

#2, pooooorrrrrrr

#3, im a noob with bindings and dont know a whole lot, so i wasnt exactly sure which was a great pair.

but people going this weekend should def cop somee.

haha yeah I picked up those pivots schism was talking about the weird thing is though the racing skis they were mounted on were rockered!

every year im stoked to go to the ski show, but every year im disapointed. its weird. im not going to waste my time fighting my way through giant crowds in tight booths to save 15 bucks on a coat. why do i always go?

yeah. i saw some turntable ones too but they were all 200. the guy above who got p18 for 70 thats legit. i must have missed those or something. otherwise theyd be mine.

ya i picked up the ninja 155s for 200. i THOUGHT they were in good shape...plastic on the bottom was busted and the heel peices might be messed...lol. had some fun bending them though.
