Torn knee before season

So!

I had it all planned... I was leaving 15th november for Valdisere in France to share an appartment and ski 5 months with my HOT girlfriend...

I JUST wanted to ski ONE week in october before this paradise awaited me...

And on 2nd day of the week... I tored a crucial ligament in my right knee...

Apparently this means no ski the next 12 months. Fuck!!! This is SO typical.

Have any of you tried this, and what did you do?

Thanks ... But let this be a lesson for everyone to set their binings correctly before starting the season...

I weigh 80Kgs, about 165lbs and had my bindings at 95kg/200lbs. I had tightened them for the championsships last season...

Has everyone had this kind of accident to their knee? I would like to hear some advice and so on how to handle it.

There is no way you ski in the next 6-8 months. when you do depends on the severity of your injury, your rehab, and your body's ability to re-grow muscle. Rehab sucks and you'll be out a while if you tore your knee up...

 
i have two partial tears in my knee. i did it last december and took a few weeks off and ski any way. one tear has healed and i still have one tear and i am still going to ski on it. i just live with the pain.

 
The binding was Rossignol Scratch if anyone cares...

Anyway thanks for the support... I wont be visiting NS so mucj in the future 6 months though, its just too heartbreaking!

DIN er det bindingen stod på du ved tallet mellem 5 og 14 whatever.

Ive recently dislocated my knee. which isnt a bad as yours since i have not torn my ligaments. im gonna be fucked for about 2 months as thats how long the docs said it would take for my ligaments to recover. All i can say is DO WHAT EVER YOU DOC OR PHYSIO SAYS TO otherwise 10years down the line your gonna be crippled by arthritus (spp?) people who ski on injurys only prolong and worsen there current condition. All i can say is bad luck. you have my sympathy.

P.s. where you in val last season as thats where i did my last season. i worked as a barman in the moris. i spent loads of time in the park (wore a grey jacket) and hung around with Nikolija and michale from denmark and ju ju from the killy shop. (ring any bells?)

Sorry, but I was in Val Thorens and not Val d'Isere last season. I do know Nikolaj and Michael though, they were among the ones I skied with last week when I had the accident...

Fuck hvor er det nederen. Det kunne ikke komme på et dårligere tidspunkt - lige op til sæsonen. Men Jeg tror der er håb. Dennis lavede jo nogenlunde samme nummer sidste år. Han var på ski igen 3 uger senere. Men der er selvfølgelig stor forskel på sådanne skader.

Håber squ vi kommer ud og fyre den lidt af i Val d'Isere alligevel...
