I cant decide between the Dakine Heli Pro, and the Dakine Heli? anyone have personal experience

I just bought one, and was deciding between the two and got the pro. Both seem great though. Have you checked them out in person? because i sugest that.

can you attach a shovel with skis to the pro like you can with the normal heli

I dont remember if the shovel hold was different, but they both hold one.

I may be a bit confused by your question. How did they attach on the heli? just the loop/sleeve on the side right? because I can hold my skis and shovel no problem.

that wil work, not much space to hold stufff after your gear is strapped to it.

i know it's not what you're asking for, but look at the north face off chute, best carry system, and it has a shovel sleeve. I love mine.

i have the heli pro and i love it, it carries ur skis nicely and is hella comfy. i havent tried any of those other packs but the heli pro definately wont dissapoint you.

Dakine makes shitty packs. The alu stays busted out of the bottem of my poacher. Complete BS. I would suggest going with a real pack maker, such as Mammut, BD, Osprey, Dana Design, or something similar, as those packs can take abuse like no other. Remember, you get what you pay for.

my heli pro isnt shitty at all. ive had it 2 years and its still in great condition with no problems and its taken abuse skiing and hiking.

I thought Dakine packs were not all that fantastic for me. They just did not give the storage, and stability that i needed. I headed for the Marmot Eiger35. Super comfy, big but not too big, and can carry everything well.
