This one always takes the cake. I remember seeing this at the Cordoroy premier back in 2006. Probably the worst crash in the history of Park skiing and he almost died. From what I remember the impact literally dislodged his heart and almost tore out his Aorta.

Basically what happened was they built the jump but the hill was too small to get enough speed so they took snowmobiles and towed the skiers in over the top of the hill. Derek was the first to go but the sled didnt go fast enough.

Cordoroy is still a classic mid 2000s movie. It had a pretty stacked group of riders in their youth and some pretty insane stuff. Definitely miss the vibe of these older films.

Thats the crazy thing about it. Derek was first to guinea pig it and undershot and almost died. Then once they cleared him off they set the snomobiles to a few more mph and did a full session on the jump the rest of the day.

I had a hyperextension injury similar to warnicks a few years ago, I came really close to puking/passing out on the way to the hospital and then couldn't put weight on my leg for three months.
