What topsheeting material have any of you used when you were making a box. Is lexan the best or i dont even know so any help would be good help so plz help a brother out and give me some pointers.

Whatever you use test out the slidability of it before you finish the box. Otherwise you'll end up with some slow shit.

Have you ever seen a little kid slide back down the inrun of a kicker without going over? This is why parents shouldn't dump their kids off anywhere near the park...

puckboard DOES NOT WORK!! we spent 100 bucks on 3 6x1 ft square sheets for a trapezoid box, and even with water and silcone lube, ive only slid the whole thing once

Well there is two types of puckboard. There is the type that is wood chunks and glue, then there is what hockey walls are made of. Which did you have?

better to burn out...

...then fade away

use that puckboard stuff or lexan. both slide well

Are you sure Lexan Slides well? I built a sweet ass box today. ill have pics up soon. We havent glued the lexan down yet. I took my ski(not on my foot)and tried slideing it on the lexan. it slid a little, but then to compare, I tried it on some Pvc and it slid much faster. Since Ive heard so many good things about it, im not to worried maybe gettin some snow and water on it will help. Has anyone built a box useing Lexan before. if so does it slide well on skis?

^ I can't talk about lexan, but depending on how much you would thrash up the rail, I would recommend PVC. I have a pvc rail and it slides so fast, I love it. The only thing about it is that I've heard it can't stand huge amounts of abuse you might huck at it.

Oh and it's really cheap.

the best top for boxes is usualy concrete or pavement, sometimes if u put a board with nails sticking out it works pretty good to, o yeah dry astro turf and dry carpet slide real good too
