Tho mystiver is definately a classic movie, its not a cult classic. Good job with Soylent Green, and Nightmare.

Well, realistically, this is close, although I'm not saying they're the BEST cult classics... they are some of the biggest names. By the way, i didn't put in things like The Matrix or Pulp Fiction, even though they might count as cult films.

Althought they may not be popular with everyone a there is a big group that REALLY like it.

its movies that people think make them cooler/smarter to watch. ha no thats not everyone i guess. usually its a low budget movie that takes a big fanbase after the tape comes out

JD-I disagree with A Clockwork Orange. If no Tarantino film can be a 'cult' film, no Kubrick film can be either. I do, however, agree the The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the #1 cult fim ever.

But you see, CWO has a hardcore, cult following. You can tell by the way people dress like Alex for parties and things, and talk like him. Pulp Fiction has a more general following, rather than a cult following. You could argue that Reservoir Dogs is a cult film, but I don't think it's a big enough one to make my list, although it's better than most of those movies.

everyone forgot the matrix part one. its had so many followers and everyone thinks they are great if they understand it. and its been made fun of in scary movie so its obviously great...or really bad
