Top/best/most fun xbox games?

Never really got into video games, wanna get an xbox and looking for some good games to get. i do have an old fat PS2 that i didn't use much, but liked. should i be getting a PS3 instead? suggestions for both systems perhaps?
already thinking- skate 2, GTA, halo...

I only own one game- cod5- and i preordered mwf2- theyre both fucking titties- i want forza motorsport and dirt- the only benefit to ps3 is blu-ray and gran tourismo- the blu ray blows on the ps3 anyway- go with the xbx cause of live
