Top 10 East missing something.....

Well i was reading my freeskier the other day and I came upon the "Best of the Eastcoast". Every year I have seen an article like this I'm stunned that Waterville Valley, NH and Loon Mtn., NH arnt listed. They are fun mountains that have outstanding parks that are maintained greatly by there park crew's. They hold smaller constest like WV's JIB5Tastic K2 thing and loon with the Line Spnsorship contests. At least for next year I think they should keep there minds open to these two mountains.
 
yeh thoes are my home mtns...great parks.. loonNH was in a snowboard mag last year for one of the best parks, idk wut place it was tho

i think that list was just overall mountain, and not park...which is why WV would totally NOT be in it, cause it's freakin tiny

but i enjoy the park thoroughly, definately the most illin park in NH
 
hahaha gotta love how tremblant park is first. From footage that i have seen, le mont orignal have the best park in quebec.
 
good, I'm glad loon wasn't on it. Less people there. Besides, loon's aprk sucks during hte cold winter, it's only real good begining and end of the year, but it's the best park in the east for the spring.
 
yea loon has enough people at it without giving it more attention. hows cranmore? they any good? i havnt skied there since i was a kid
 
they had a real fun rail park last year. The jumps were never anything worth hitting, but the rails were definitly good fun.
 
nice...def gonna have to check it out...thinking about gettin a threedom pass. hey anyone ever ski crotched mountain?? i wanted to try their extream midnights!

Best Park in the East? This place isn't open yet, but Evan Dybvig and the Whaleback crew are going to get my vote.

tremblant represent.

yeh, its pretty cool. overall good parks, pipe can be epic, and pow stashes and tree runs like weeeeeeee. but cheap 4x4 seasons passes for students, and happy hour at yahoooos bar is the bestest part about tremblant.
 
i think this is a pretty good list. i would have taken off Mt Snow and put sugarbush on instead. mt snow may have a good park, but the mountain is the flattest thing ever (minus ripsord and maybe one or two other runs)
 
it was a much better list than the one in ski, sunday river didnt even make the top 10 which is ridiculous and smugglers notch was number 2, and smuggs is family oriented and has wicked slow chairlifts
 
Killington needs to learn how to build a park, it is on a trail that's way too steep. Also all the jumps are small as hell. Half of their jibs are ghetto. I love mount snow do to it's flow and in the gultch you can session that for hours since it has good flow, just like el diablo. Inferno has great flow but you need to be on your toes at all times since that shit is HUGE.
 
I'm fucking stoked to see Blue on there! They've been doing a lot of good things in the last few years...

The Tremblant call is fucking BULLSHIT.

Avila is like 400,000 times better.

Tremblant's park is pretty weak, it's getting better, but still not that great.
 
I think the top 10 was rated on overall mountain wasnt it? it would seem to make more sense from what i know of these mountains
 
That would make sense. Freeskier is about partying, and tremblant is very possibly one of the best resorts out there for partying...

I may or may not get shit for this one but. I think Mountain Creek out in Jersey shold be on there. Theyve really stepped it up in the past few years too. And their pipe is sick. 25 foot walls and their park is always groomed and nice.
 
I'm quite suprised Okemo isn't on that list. They might not have the comps that snow has but the mountain is much better and the park is the same par.
 
did you look to the page to the right of the one your looking at, low and behold waterville and loon. the parks at thoes mountains is real sick but the normal skiing at dub v is kinda shitty.
