Top 10 best small towns

Fairfax is exactly like Ashland, OR

Only more beach and less snow.

I was gonna say Fruita, Colorado because you can bike all summer there in the dry climate but it's really close to ski resorts. It's 21 miles from Powderhorn, 84 miles from Crested Butte and 88 from Snowmass.

Slick rock gets boring after the umteenth time you ride it. It's fun to ride when you visit, but there's a lot more to biking than slick rock. Anyways, have fun riding the same 3 slickrock trails all summer. Biking options in Moab are fun as hell, but very limited. Fruita is close and has great trails too, but the town sucks. If you want to ski all winter and bike all summer, any mountain town in Colorado (or Utah) would be much better and you're still only a few hours from Moab, Fruita, etc.

ya fruita has some pretty amazing stuff. CB could be pretty ideal for year round since it has such a sick bike park and sick skiing but something about Moab really appeals to me
