Sober rocks!!!! it's my favourite video ever....
You gotta think abstractly if you want to appreciate the videos...
like Prison sex. that videos quite messed up. But really about being owned by somebody and being so confused and trapped.
most of them have some kinda corilation (sp?)to that because Maynerd was molested by his step-dad.

Tool is soooo incredibly deep. I could seriously spend about a week analysing their songs.... there's so many refrences to little things.
my favourite thing is probably that on their first pressing of the song Sober they put in someone saying 'turn that shit down' in the middle of the song. You can't hear it if you're just listening to it. but If you play it really loud then it'll sound as though someone is telling you to 'turn that shit down' from outside of your door. They have literally hundreds of things like that. from different lyrics on different pressings of a cd, to hidden pictures and random voices saying stuff in the background.
They thank people on their albums that don't exist (so they create a story about their life) they talk about things like achiving a higher conciousness through drugs (Sober) and genetics (46 and 2). things like different dimensions for different states of mind, naturalist medicinal beliefs.... sooooo much stuff...
Go here... It's all about them.. and it's not close to being fully complete.

I did not know that Mike. That's crazy. I just thought they made messed up vids.
I'm kinda surprised at how few people here appreciate how successful they are to put you in a mood. Theirs songs and especially their videos just make me feel all creeped out.

Yah, 46&2 is a greeeeeat song, I love it aye. And some of their songs are great. I think Nine inch Nails have some pretty yucky videos, I don't much like them.

eh most people don't like tool b/c they don't understand what the songs are about...i'm glad there's still an industry for cookie cutter garbage out there, but i'll stick w/creative stuff like tool and nin. you wouldn't have half the stuff you have today if it wasn't for maynard and reznor...and maynard isn't a depresant for those of you adding him to the prozac list.
