Yah Tool is a sick bad, you will probably like their song Schism,

i saw them live in december, and i was quite disappointed.

they only played an hour which about 25% of it was ambience. it was after 10000 days came out and a huge chunk of the songs of it weren't played. also you couldnt hear maynard (their singer) at all. it was just like...noise instead of their awesome music.

my favourite song is probably eulogy
 
that blows, i would expect them to put on a really good show.

they do put on a great show. My favourite song is lateralus, there is so much depth and meaning it inspires me too try harder at everything i do after i listen to it.
 
Tool=awesomeness.

If the sound was bad at a show it was probably due to the venue. Tool has their shit dialed, and the only band I have seen compare to them live is Opeth.
 
I have to agree, Opeth and tool are two of the best live bands i have ever heard. I love anything off of Aenema, so much meaning to thie songs its insane.
 
don't really listen to them much anymore, but definitely one of the best prog bands ever... listen to Lateralus as a whole album, it's incredible.

also check out guitar hero: world tour, 3 of their songs are in it i'm pretty sure :)
 
Yeah Lateralus is a great album to listen all the way through (as is 10,000 Days). Still I would say my favourite song is "The Pot" or "Jambi"

1 AEnima -fav songs from album stinkfist, 46 and 2

2 opiate - fav songs jerkoff, opiate

l3 lateralus- fav songs - parable, parabala

4 undertow _fav songs prison sex, bottom

5 10,000 days - fav songs vicarious , rosetta stoned

i have seen tool over 17 times my favorite band ever. i have met maynard , adam and danny on mutiple occasions never met justin though. they are actually very down to earth in person. but as far as t6hier stage show goes the only better show i have ever seen put on was pink floyd! tool is rediculous just check out my sig

 
Tool has long been my favorite band. Not a day goes by when I don't blast the grudge, 4 degrees or laterallus in the car.

but add The Pot to 10,000 days. though its one of their softer songs, i love it.

seeing Tool is on my bucket list. i refuse to die until i go to a show.
 
Fuck yeah, they put on an awesome show when I got to see them last year. The Pot is definitely my favorite song off 10,000 days, as well as Vicarious.
 
Ok, so I go to an 8 week sleep away camp over the summer. I've been going there for 8 years now my friends who go there and I are really close together. Last year there was a new kid in the bunk. He was tall, lanky, pale and geeky as hell. Honestly he was the biggest dork I've ever seen in my life. And to make everything worse he had a black shirt on that just said 'tool' across the front.
 
Did you even read the thread?... It's cool if you have a different opinion than everyone else but this statement is so far off from what everyone else is saying, it seems so judgemental also.
