Too sketchy??

I ski a pair of rossi ghettos, and love em. But i'm scarred of hitting rails because of their weak edges and i don't have the money right now to throw and get a new pair of sticks if i tear an edge out.

Just bought a pretty beat up pair of addict pros off gear trade for 30 beans to work on rails and what not. I plan on using a pair of old demo bindings i have:/ .... and was planning on mounting them my self ( i have never mounted bindings before). Paying $50 to mount $30 skis and garbage demo bindings is kinda backwards.

my question. Is this a recipe for death? I will not be hucking clifs/60 footers with these. Anyone have experience or tips with home mounting. thanks

take your time when mounting the skis and DONT RUSH IT. My roomie pat has mounted 2 pairs of skis so far and both seem to work nicely. Also, check the ski maintenance thread because theres a step by step tutorial on ski mounting there. Good luck man

yeah, its not too hard. just take your time. the old adage, measure twice cut once definitely applies. (just replace cut with drill)

alright, so when you get down to it, you are screwing 4 screws into wood. NOT A BIG DEAL, that being said take your time if its not pefect you wont die they are urban skis.

I have rossi ghettos and I hit rails on them all last season and the edges are fine. In fact they are awesome, the top sheet didn't even chip very much.

his bacons have held up so far and his anthems have held up since the remount ben!

Get learned.

jk i love you lol

beej?

;)

hmmm. makes me think now

Good info bro. thanks.

this is why i hate forums. One person has an issue and everyone(including myself) assumes it as fact and preaches it like so.

but still lots of good info here you just have to be selective i guess.

ah i didnt realize he mounted the bacons. i just remember he tore out the anthems last year.
