TOO much snow!!

So basically over this last week in europe it hasn't stopped dumping, especially in the Alps. Its crazy, i^ve never seen it snow this much soo early.

There is soo much snow some ski resorts like verbier (the mountain i usually ski at) are currently closed ahaha

Fuck europe right now. I'm extreamly jealous, my mountain has zero snow on the top right now because it warmed up and rained.
 
Too bad the Italian resorts don't seem to have received any of that white gold, luckily I'm going in week 8, so there is plenty of time for pow.
 
Sestriere, with my high-school and like 5 other high-schools. So I guess we'll be like 2-300 17-20-year old's there for 8 days of skiing, so stoked for it.

Also the one arranging for my school, so my trip is free and so if my lift-pass, only have to pay for ski-rent and food :)
 
So happy for the Euros!!! 'Bout time eh? Snow conditions up in Canada are also bangin this year. Over 2 meters of snow has fallen already and that on the dry side of the Rockies.
 
europe definitely kicked this winter off really good.. french alps got around 1-1.5 meters of snow during the passing week..this winter is going to be epic
 
hope it doesn't fuck up your snow pack for the whole year. huge early season dumps can mean super sketchy avalanche conditions later on

but really i'm super jealous

This happened last year too. I took a 2 hour train to Verbier only to find out they closed for having too much snow. We waited around for a few hours and they decided to open it up for the first time in a week. Needless to say, I skied nip deep powder all day. First day of the season for me last year and one of the best days I've ever had skiing.
 
That map is bullshit! baker got 80 inches this week and 27 today. Sun valley, Targhee and the higher elevations of Montana, Wyoming and Idaho have a lot of snow from this week. Although it's completely correct for anything south of Tahoe.
 
Shit is weak everywhere. Colorado has only gotten a couple inches of natural snow all year. Fucking Europe is stealing all the snow.
 
went skiing today in about 40 - 50cm of snow, in austria. nothing much, powder was shit. then again, western parts of austria have had a metre or more already.
 
I would just like enough snow so that my mountain doesn't look like it usually does when it's may.
