Too Long?

I have heard from several people that at big mountains (mainly heard about the Canadian ones like Kicking Horse, Mount Tremblant, etc.) it takes like several hours to get down the mountain. Is this true? It seems kinda long lol.

i've heard of people who went to the top of whistler, and didn't make it back down for 2 days

Monte Blanche Glacier in Chamonix took us 2 half hours down, half an hour hike out then another 45 minute luge run out

nonono! you heard wrong here. yes others can take up to 3 hours to descend, but at tremblant you're getting mixed up with the waiting lines, not the time of descent!

just a little math to help you out....
if you average a reasonable 10 miles per hour, in two hours you could travel 20 miles. there are no trails that are 20 miles long. the only real possibility is that you wreck about 11 times and stop to have a sandwich for about 1.5 hours. keep in mind having sandwiches is highly recommended.

Well in Europe some of the mountains have reeeeaaaaaally damn long runs, their mountains are a lot bigger than any range in north america.

Depends on the terrain, condition, the line you take, if you stop to film, etc...
Jay Peak in Vermont was taking us 1-1.5 hours to get down when we were heading through glades. Mainly because we had 8 people skiing together, and tried not to lose anyone.

Was really expecting this to be another thread about Tall T's hah. Some solid unintentional comedy.
