I'm 5'7'' and i was wondering if anyone here is on skis around 180cm that is my height. If so, how to they handle compared with your height?

Yeah...uh...I'm 6'2 or so and I ski 185 (twins, that is. race skis=longer.) So... that's too long for you. Unless you're insane.

 
no one buys skis that are head height anymore, the sidecuts are too bg on most skis, you dont need them that big anymore

ha, its all depends on who you ski with! I have skied with guys who are 5'5'' that rip on 194 Dynastar Legends Pro rides, you just gotta be ballsie.

wtf? 5'7' is not 180cm, they are like 4 inches taller than you, if you are going redicuously huge or ripping at really high speeds go for it, but go for something around 170 for normal stuff. I was stuck on a pair of 179pes at camp this summer (im 5 8) and they were almost impossible to spin... of course i had them mounted at 0, prolly wouldve helped to have them at +3 but whatever, ive got some 171 1080s and they are great

oh yeah sorry that's not head height but it's not bad

it depends on your skill, your riding style, how strong you are etc.

the bottom line is that you definitely could use them

yo man, don't listen to the short ski kids. my man EC^^ knows whats up. Ski length depends a lot more on WEIGHT than height, also a lot more on skill. If you are over 160 lbs, why not go 180? unless you are trying to throw 10s. also, are you an advanced skier? go longer baby! woot!

I'd say go longer too...

It also depends on what kind of ski you have, the closer to center mounted it is (like a PE or Fujative) the longer you can go without getting too much tip in front of you... a 1080 or Troublemaker are mounted further back, so you'd prolly want to go shorter with those models.

thats good. i have a freind that is 5'7 and skis the 181 1080s. im 5'2 and i ski 165s which are about 1 inch taller than me or so. i want a 170 but dynastar doesnt make it

im 5'8' and ride 177 1080s and 179 pistols

I feel bad for people who don't drink, cause when they wake up in the morning, thats the best the're going to feel all day
