Tonights Espisode of South Park

lol?

Not sure if that was a joke or an ironic coincidence. I'm guessing the first one...

In any case, I actually thought it was one of the better episodes I have seen in a while, but it seemed to indicate that the creators are sick of it. It was sad.

i was using southparkstudios, it had a 12:00 countdown going so i figured thats when its up, but your probably right, i usually watch them on thursday night on southparkstudios

The first 11 seasons of south park are amazing but the last couple years have just been ok. as sad as it would be if south park ended, it would be better to end while its still ok than it would be to let it get to a point where its not worth watching anymore then ending it.

sorry for the double post but a show ending isnt really as bad as it seems. Just look at Seinfeld, King of Queens, arrested development, that 70's show etc.

The more I think about it, the more glad I actually get that its going this direction. I'm glad they know when to call it quits.

I also really though this episode was the best one to come out in a while, by a long shot. It hit home the way all the best episodes always did, it was just that this one happened to surround the show itself, but I think they did it in true south park fashion.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone are making baaaaaaaank with their broadway show, The Book of Mormon. It's constantly sold out and tickets aren't cheap. It's up for a bunch of Tony awards, and if they continue to gain success with this, I can see them producing/creating/writing more musicals. Maybe they are just trying to focus on one project, and move on.

Not that they should, because South Park has always been entertaining at the very least, but I think they're pretty stoked on their new ventures. They've wanted to do musicals after the success of their movies, and since The Book of Mormon has taken off, I can see them staying in that direction.

The show is quietly coming to and end, which sucks to say because it did make a major change in the TV industry. I think that 15 might be the end, or it will end with season 16 next fall. But i ain't worried, they have had an amazing run. In the end, the final episode will be amazing, and no matter what they will go out with a huge bang.

Plus they have specifically said that they are getting sick of making South Park. Clearly they are capable of success in any number of artistic venues, as proven by The Book of Mormon. Good for them for pursuing what really interests them.

yeah

that episode sucked ass. i like south park a ton but i think it's gotten worse and worse, so i'm glad that they might wrap it up rather than run it into the ground, but that episode was so gay. about a million cooler ways to go about it

Tyler the creator was on it...

Right up there.

On the poster.

I recognize that half of these responses are sarcastic, but to the other half- I'm 3/4 of the way through it right now and it's pretty solid. Maybe you are just a cynical asshole.

Yup, solid. Best in a while. Sounds like its coming to an end though. Frankly, I'm okay with that. South Park kind of ended for me when every episode started being topical and they stopped having any real story. Kinda sad though.

Exactly. The way they ended it was almost surreal in the sense that it completely detached itself from the comedic lowbrow convention that it had previously established.

I thought it was a great episode; it was both hilarious and made an extremely valid point.

Issac Hayes actually quit sp because he was offended by the way they treated religion (mainly scientology) a couple years before he died.

Huge bummer, because Chef was the shit

NOTICE: If you haven't watched it don't read this.

Did anyone else notice that Sharon and Randy didn't move together? Randy drove off alone in the uhaul, and Sharon moved into a house without him. Also the reference after they say that they see each other as shitty, when Sharon says "People change over time" or something like that. Maybe this was the last episode......
