obviously wallisch is one of the sickest skiers out there, but i think it's kind've a bullshit win cause he didnt use a single new shot, it was all stuff from past edits and Level 1 movies...kinda lame when other kids are actually working hard specifically for that contest
and nice description by the contest people, since a lot of that stuff was from Turbo which was filmed 07/08...and im pretty sure almost the entire edit was from Sweden and Mt. Hood, with only a couple shots from Squaw and practically nothing (if anything) from Copper and Salt Lake
sparknotes: my hate isn't for Wallisch, it's for the idiots who organized the contest and for his choice to recycle a bunch of footage to bag an easy win...but i prob woulda done the same thing if i was him, just think it's kinda bs
 
Exactly what i was thinking, provo isnt in the limelight like tom already is. Obv tom's edit was dirty but i really wanted provo to win that shit.

you have to realize that this entire contest was not for the benefit of any of the entrants. i mean sure, they get a nice bundle of cash. but it's really just one huge interactive advertisement for coast. they don't give a shit who wins as long as they get their name out there.
 
exactly and they probably wanted to give out a sponsorship to someone who would rep them good and get coast publicized which means that wallisch is the man for the job. i had no idea who coast was until i saw wallisch's edit anyways.
so i think coast is gonna get exactly what they want outta this competition and thats publicity (aka wallisch)
 
youre mixing 2 of my thoughts into one, my whole point about the 07/08 thing and the filming locations was that the contest organizers have no fucking idea when or where any of that shit was filmed, they pretty much just made it up
and to the other guy, 2 new shots? seriously? big deal

great edit. Don't agree with him winning. It was an AM contest. Tom Wallisch is not an AM. He is a Professional Skier. He shouldn't have entered in the first place.
 
hes making a shit load right now but who knows what hell be makin when hes like 30+, maybe oneday hell have stop having such a fun job on the mountains and do some non ski related work
