Same here. It doesn't look like a triple the first time, because you assume it's just the first shot continued from a different angle.. but his ski position is different/other stuff.
It might even be two different doubles thrown together...
the cut is right as he's releasing the grab after the first flip, after the cut you can see him moving his hand away from the ski and uncrossing his skis
It's the cut that confuses the whole trick. Could be two different dub cork edited to make you doubt if that last cork is the dub or the trip. But after seeing thousands of ski videos/ movies, I realize that they don't cheat often, especially in professional productions.
Yeah, that's not a triple. When it cuts away from the first shot he is grabbing mute, and when it cuts away he is no longer grabbing mute. So unless they left out a fraction of a second where he let go of the mute, it's two doubles pasted together.
Im not? Do you know how well wallisch grabs his switch dub 10's or did you miss dew tour big air? That 2nd shot was barley grabbed. Why would they use that shitty switch dub 10, when he easily could grab blunt/japan with it and hold for the duration of the flip.
so niether of the shots in that ad are a triple rotation? since he takes off forward in shot one, lands switch shot 2 meaning it couldnt be a switch triple 12 since he would land forward, correct?
This is what I thought when I first saw it yesterday. But after taking a fresh look at it, I think it's a triple 16. Look at the hand position of the grabbing hand after the cut. It is in the same place.
that took me so long to figure out what was going on...they should have had it in one single shot. the transition from each cork makes it just look like a dub. but after playing and pausing it it looks so ill!!
My co workers were there at the session.. He defenetly landed his first triple in whis. I heard he was as how it feels to be apart of the triple club and his response was "feels like anyother club, expensive".
I feel like if people wanted to make a dope advertisement with Tom in it, they wouldn't use of shot of a double with a landing he didn't stomp the shit out of.
this! hes nearly at the nuckle when he completes the first cork. and he wouldnt grab a high mute for a triple. and if it should be a tripple, its definitely not a 12 for how hard he sets the spin rather than flip.
First shot is a double cork 10, cut into a switch triple cork 14 safety. Not a great cut and a little deceptive, wasn't my call, haha. Hope that helps!
