Tom Wallisch commentator at the 2011 X games

After hearing the troubling news that Tom Wallisch some how broke his shoulder and most likely wont compete at X, I myself was a little upset. Than I thought how can we take this bad situation and make it into a good one. With a little brainstorming why not give the man a mic and have him commentate the X games who better than Tom Wallisch himself depicting the action that goes down at X. I mean think of all the advantages. 1) he has great dental hygiene 2) he knows what he is talking about (unlike half the commentators 3) he wouldnt suck shaun whites dick the whole time 4) hes handsome 5) he knows how to party 6) he would be very comical 7) do i really need to keep naming reasons. So what do u think, i think if tom cant compete let him commentate the shit out of the x games.
BTW- I believe that Tome didnt injure himself skiing cause doesnt he always land on his feet, he must have fallen in the bath tub or something like that or he played punch for punch with mike tyson theres no way this accident is form skiing making it more tragic

I think it'd be a good idea. I work television for World Cup ski race events, for commentators, they have a euro and a retired racer usually, the ex racer always knows whats up, unlike the euro sometimes. As well, CBC has Karin Lee Gardner as the main sportscaster, and she's a retired Olympic gold medalist in racing. Then this year too, since I worked the interview booth, the had Kelly Vanderbeek as a co-host due to the fact that she was injured.

In all, the expreienced people know a lot more that the people who get paid to comment and broadcast everything. And this is why I think it is a good idea.

And it doesn't have to be just Wallisch. Anybody that is out should look into it. One can be a commentator, and another can be down at the finish corral with a tv host and do something like Kelly Vanderbeek did.
 
This wood be dope, but i was wondering who is takin his spot in the comp? How do they figure that out?
 
Would be good to finally get someone who actually knows what they are talking about and has a relationship with some of the skiers to commentate. Please if the organizers at X see this make Tom Wallisch the commentator.
 
not to hate on tom, but i don't think they want someone like tom MC'ing, mainly because most people wouldn't know what he is talking about. Not the best vocabulary for people listening.
 
no hate coming your way either but manly people arent watching to listen to the commentator there watching to see the action/tricks that are being displayed and someone like tom wallisch who is apart of the sport knos whats being thrown down and can better describe it to the public and i dont think tom wallisch vocabulary is bad for the listening public especially because the everyday public is mostly ur middle class 12-35 year olds who would be able to relate to tom
 
ya it would be good but i think that it would be a major buzzkill for him to be right there with all the action that he is missing and should be taking place in. it would be depressing as hell
 
that would be sick! i dont like tom as much as i like other skiers but someone who knows what they are talking about would be a nice change. rather have Nick Martini though
 
Yeah, while martini's interviews in revolver were definitely contrived and really forced, he's impressively educated and eloquent. Pair 'em up ESPN. Puhleeeeeze?
 
yea but when tom starts saying "damn son! you got super hyphy with that ignant dub 10!" not too many people middle class people would know what the fuck he was talking about.
 
not going to argue colby would be sick, but i hes in the comp. Also wallisch would be good because he would still be apart of the competition
 
Dammn you sir, i got so excited because someone who actually knows what they are talking about would be commentating and now it will just be Sal and Luke VV
 
Ya... You don't think he could explain. "thats a double cork 1080, going off axis twice and spinning 3 full rotations." it's not that hard, I could see him doing it
 
oh god no on martini. im sorry, but he sounds half retarded in every single interview he does. the fact that he was commentating half of revolver is partially what made it so unbearable.
