Tom losing his thunder?

If he beats andreas in the last dew stop he will probably be tour champ. I think sammy carlson or someone is in third but behind by like 35 points or something.

To the thread creator. You're truly an idiot. I don't know why you would think someone is losing their thunder when they don't win ONE competition, especially since most of the competitors were so damn good that any one of them could have taken podium.
 
i didnt read the thread, so this may just sound stupid. But after watching my fair share of X games this week, I have come to a conclusion. The skiers who are winning X games are very technical, but never again do i wanna see bobby brown do a misty, or jossi wells a double cork. They just dont have that certain thing that makes them so sucsessful in the film industry. Defining "better" is hard in the situation. But Tom will always be "better" in my book
 
Agreed. Technicality is good and all, but I feel like style should definitely earn more than it does points wise. I mean, it's great that guys are doing 16's, double corks, etc. but if it looks forced and not nice and smooth, why do it? I dunno, Ive always thought something that I threw a little slower but really cleanly was more fun to do, and isn't fun what it's all about? (although I'm not throwing huge spins or doubles, so maybe my opinion is invalid)

That being said, xgames was really pretty sick this year.
 
i thought both tj's 16 and bobbys dub mistys were SOOOOOO smooth though. sure it wasnt a switch 5 but still, i thought they were as smooth and steezy as can be

8th at x games is a super shitty result. tom for sure sucks now. its not like he was putting together sw dub 10, sw right 12, dub 10 all practice...
 
i've never heard that before, is that some sort of new joke? cause its hilarious. I don't think anyone has ever said that. its so catchy that i think it will because a regular thing and a bunch of phrase whores will say it.

actually jossi is about as styley (sp?) as it gets. hes definitely either on or right below toms level.

I don't think he's losing his thunder. But he does have a tendency to mess up at his first comps. He said it himself in big air. I specifically remember him saying "I can't take this pressure" So he was obviously nervous. He will be back, but i do think that the other guys are throwing down too. You have to remember that there are other skiers than Tom Wallisch.
 
who would have guessed the hating of tom wallsich would come so soon..

i just think he needs to get used to the whole big comp scene
 
Ya Mike Douglas said so himself during Super Pipe that Jossi and Wallisch are probably the most stylish skiers in the game.
