Toggenburg

I ride tog when I am not at Mount Snow, was there yesterday with a buddy. It was his first time boarding so I was not hiking the corrugated with the fellow rats.

I go to Cornell. Greek Peak is pretty shitty, so I'll probably make a few trips to Tog with a friend during next semester.

WOO

i'll have a park update for you guys tomorrow. should have a 3-4 feature line in. but hey who cares the snow is soft and the skiing is awesome right now

this weekend togg will have a 30-35ft table and a 3 feature line

line goes

corrugated

butterbox

24' flatbox

well they ended up not being open either day. because money. so when i get up there again i'll report back

finished a 4hr park build today. now we have set up (nicely too) a culvert, to butter box, to flat box, with a culvert bonk option on the right.

and we opened the 40ft table! woooo! it is a fuckin nice table

Never skied Togg but I really want to. Sounds like you guys have a pretty decent crew over there. I live just below saratoga and just above Schenectady.

well i was at tog until 4am friday night setting up for the CNY freestyle series rail jam that went down today. pics of the setup:

should be up for a while. there were talks today in park crew of throwing another jam on this same set up in a couple weeks and really blowing it up

we are building the rest of the park this wed/thurs/maybe friday if we need it. it may not be closed as a lot of the work will probably be done after hours, but don't quote me on that.

come out to togg tomorrow! we have had our crew going crazy the past couple of nights. the head of our park crew was there last night until he had to work at 7 this morning. the park is going to be up, chock full of awesome features and pretty primed for tomorrow. i'll be there on my jmos, feel free to shout me out

im just curious why tog builds tables versus some normal jumps.

i get that it needs to be safe for gapers, but i think it encourages people to stand on takeoff, table, landings

Haha good to know. The rail section is actually pretty solid. I'm not XGames good so it has plenty to play on. I only wish they had a whale and a rainbow box

have you even hit them? i don't think you know what you're talking about. the bottom 3 are actually really easy to overshoot and the top 3 are perfectly fine to get speed for. plus with the new snow, they have been softer than ever.

the only rail that doesn't slide real nice imo is the big fat tube cause it's a little rusty, but other than that everything is smooth for me. yeah the paint on a couple is old but the sliding surfaces of every rail out there has been gone over with a grinder before gettin out there. i haven't had trouble with any of them.

and as of saturday they had these 2 new jumps up in the top section which are pretty fun imo. the landing is deep and soft enough too.

also, you guys can follow @togparks on instagram for updates and pictures of the park.

tire jib is bullshit, ive only seen one person jib it correctly

the corrugated is nice

aluminum looking tube rail is more beat that hookers on South Salina street.

flat-donkdick rail is butter. although it could use some grinding, wax, and grease

the staircase rail is needs a real lip. not a tog lip

that box you have is ridiculously funny to see people attempt to get on

Battleship Rail is butter

i dont get why you have the flatdown box ride on, versus lip on

The initial right side jump is the only well built one of the 4.

@Broto toggenburg park

you know those 3 jumps are wack, you have to racer check and pump to absorb the lack of natural hill landing with these bmx jumpline style pumpers... inb4 yeah we know you can cork 7 them.

i know they are wack, but the way he said that they are hard to get speed for just made me question whether he had actually hit them or not. i always skip the first two and hit the third, which is decent if you take it a little beyond knuckle. the knuckles are all too steep, shaped kind of like quarterpipes.

Ya man, we were talking about the rails. Typically the word "grease" refers to rails. The boxes are decent, the flat down could use a nice 2-3ft gap to get the most out of it. The tube is real sticky, you have to bomb it from around the corner to get enough speed to grease it. The flat down rail ism too bad and the flat long box is nice and smooth. I hit #2 on the bottom last week with barely any speed and cleared to the flats and almost ate my knees for lunch. Very little room on the three bottom boosters for error. Went today and had about a foot of freshies, just wish the mountain had something steep. Never hit the upper two to be honest, I usually hit one of the three in the middle, slide over to the long tube and then hit the flat down and ride out. The park has a lot of potential. Do you guys have any FDF or FUF sections?

Just so you guys know, we're working on improving the quality of the jumps and landings but there have been some... difficulties to say the least. It's not something that can be shoveled easily and with all the extra snow we've been getting it hasn't been a priority for the cats. But rest assured, they will continue to improve.

If you have an issue with a rail PLEASE let the office know so they can pass it along to park crew to fix. That's what they're there for. Posting here is hit or miss for communicating those issues.

dont include me you newb. right speed you can grease any rusty rail

the yellow rail on the left is rusty AF, dont say its not ill just lip on the down to avoid it but still im pressed

first jump's landing's slope is still pretty messed up but the crew in the cats have done a good job of fixing the last 2. last jump's landing is steep and deep. i haven't been up since friday so i don't know how the weather affected all of the features but we will be trying to sort things out for sure.

I may know who you are haha, I am usually no goggles, Black snowpants, either a blue saga or black saga. I guess pretty baggy.

i usually go up to Labrador mountain about once or twice a year. i always found Lab better than Toggenburg park wise.
