So I got toebang about a month ago, and have been skiing about 20 times after that. My toenail just fell off today and I'm going skiing tomorrow. What's it like skiing with no toenail?

my toe nail fell off but i just put a ton of tape over my toe

same thing happened to my neighbor last season, the fucker just grew back, and hes fine in boots now. my guess is that yes, it might hurt, but just deal with it i guess. Your boots are way too big btw.
 
i had the same problem. kept putting hydrogen peroxide on it and soaked it in salt water. It dried out and stopped hurting (i know its gross but it works.) neosporin just keeps it moist and sensitive as hell
 
Shit homie im in the same boat. Ive had it fall off before from toe bang. but that was after the season was over. has anyone had to muster most of the season like this and to what degree does it suck? Are you good if you just tape it up or does it just hurt like a mufucka in your boot all day. BTW my toebang is from one boot being just a hair too short. Small boots will bang your shit too.
 
As long as it doesn't hurt to put the tape on, do that.
Also make sure you have boots that fit right.

as i already said i had enough christmas money to buy boots that actually fit. that was after i got toebang with my previous boots.
 
The next years SPK boot has a soft rubber toe box so that when your toes hit it is streches. Theres your solution, so baller!
 
You could try grinding out the spot where your boot contacts your foot...That's what a shop would do if you brought them in,Just BE Careful
 
Dude I lost a toenail last year while I was breaking in new boots. It feels so good, cause your toe nails never dig in... because they arent there... Itd be sweet if I could remove them all painlessly... but not really...
 
ya.. toe bang is brutal, it sucks so muchhh. but wut i started to do i haven't gotten it since... I'm a dancer and i use my toe gels that we use for our pointe shoes... u just put em under ur socks. My bro even uses a pair n he doesn''t get toe bang either.. Just thought i'd share, I guess if you know any dancers ask em' to hook u up with a place that will have them.
 
The new Salomon SPK boots have a rubber front instead of plastic, so it completely eliminates toe bang! They are dope!!! Definitely the boots to buy next season.

really? 2/3 podiom skiers in dew tour use salomon. sure they are sponsored but they wouldnt use a ski they didnt like. as for spks.... the rubber toe does make a difference. think about it... rubber vs plastic....
