Toebang: NEED HELP (K+)

Hey guys,
So I'm skiing Fernie in BC for my spring break, and I landed flat on a icy landing, I slammed my left big toe into the front of my boot, and now it hurts like a bitch, When it happened, it only hurt for a minute and then subsided (I continued to ski for the rest of the day). But a couple of hours after skiing, it really started to hurt and throb. This happened yesterday, and today I can't ski. I tried putting my foot into my boot but i couldn't do it.
Since I'm on this beautiful mountain for only a few more days, any quick fixes/remedies that could make it skiable? I really want to hit up this beautiful mountain a bit more :(
Cheers!

Any quick fixes or similar is not to be recommended. If you absoultely have to ski, try wrapping some sports tape around the numb toe. It's not going to be pain free, but it will be less painfull. What your toe is in need of right now is just plain and simple recovery and rest. Another tip is to use 2 or 3 socks, get as much fabric as you can between the inner linings of you boot and your toe, it will create less friction this way, and your toe wont be able to move as much. And last, you should deffinetely put some ice on it before tommorows session. Hope this helped.

did it turn blue/black? if so, do this. It felt so good.

Not a lot you can do immediately - keeping nails trimmed is so key. Taping the toe might help a bit as can extra socks, but be cautious, as too many layers can restrict circulation and your ski day may turn out to be less than optimal. We've all had days where our toes or shins take a beating, and yes they suck. At this point, probably the best thing to do is take it easy and let it heal. Good luck!

Take some pain killers, put some smushy stuff at the tip of your boot and do your boots up tight.

go to the pharmacie. buy a kitchen sponge. cut a "crescent moon" or "C" shape out of the sponge. tape that half moon to the outside toe part of your liners and put them back in your boot. itll create some extra cusion.

Yikes -both my big toes are black and blue and this happened to me last year (I did not have much pain and eventually my toenail fell off ) I personally do NOT recommend this ? Make sure you keep it clean though because infection could be an issue . Ice may help ,but clip them for sure !

just freeze it so you have almost no blood in it then put on your boots, but take a shit ton of painkillers first and bring some up onto the mountain i dont know how many day you could go for doing that though haha good luck !
