well, i just filled up my 30 gig zen vision m, so i may be looking at a new mp3 player. i know that i wasnt a fan of the older ipods (the ipod video- not really old but im not a big fan of it either way) so i dont really think ill get an ipod, but that may change. i have a mac so it would be very easy to sync with it (my zen is a bitch to sync with the mac so i only did it once in a while).

so whats the deal with the new mp3 players? how are the new zunes? new ipods? any others i should be looking at? looking for something larger than 30 or 40 gigs (60 or 80 would be cool, but i dont think i would get up to 60 ever. all i know is that i just passed 30 gigs)

zune are better then the ipod classic if you are going for storage space and playback, but Itouchs are so sick for everything else, they just suck at playback

iPod=shitty sound quality, if you're really concerned about that, find something else (I like Creative for sound quality, they've been making great audio cards/equipment for years before MP3 players came out). But otherwise I'd go iPod Touch, the touch screen is really sick.

if you want something for skiing or riding get a creative or sandisk, those things just dont like to break. ive landed straight on my sandisk on a rail and the screen didnt even crack

i just bought a zune 80gb when my creative zen vision m 30gb stopped working. the zune is really sick, but just like an ipod youre going to miss a lot of things that you could do on your zen, for example searching through all songs for a keyword or creating and naming full playlists from the player. the wireless sync is sick though, as well as many other features, and i would still recommend a zune waayyy over an ipod.

I really don't like how ipods are so fragile, even with a casing, or maybe I should be more careful with mine.

i think it might with this program called XNJB, but im not sure

i guess if i really need to, i can boot into windows and sync from there

i have a zune80 and i love it. the new software update was neato aswell.

zunes do work on macs, either you install parallels(a program that lets you run windows) and you can sync it from there, or i believe theres a hack(not sure though). if youre willing to torrent parallels or even buy it, i would definitely recommend a zune.

if you are on leopard then you can instal windows through boot camp which comes with leopardthen all you have to do is hold down option when starting the computer and select windows

get one of these they're illll

^yea im kicking myself in the ass because i should have gotten the 60 gig one while they were being made. oh well.

ill probably get the zune 80 gig model. syncing wont be a big deal because i can just boot into windows (which, i have all set up right now anyways so its just a matter of not being lazy to sync)

i like my zune its held up through 2 seasons snowboarding and is still perfectly fine. Its the old model though the bigger one, the new ones could only be better if i had to guess?

hahaha luke i have had a sandisk and smashed the screen on that and i have that creative that is all smashed but still kind of works. but your right those two companies are good im just a dumbass and sat on my mp3 players.

hhhhhmmmm well i just broke mine today...(sandisk) died on me after a year...

what should i get now? i use it for mostly skiing, and skating

yea my creative fell out of a moving car (jeep w/ no doors around a turn = creative being flung out of the car at 10 mph) and all it got was a few scratches.
