My dad used to work on the Navy Docks in San Diego after he was discharged and a hippy actually fell asleep under a truck tire and got run over.
 
Obviously war is stupid, but unfortunately in today's society, it has become necessary.
I wish countries didn't have to fight eachother, and personally I blame religion for it.
But that's not the point of this thread, the point is that the OP is upset, because some hippie was yelling at a soldier for protecting his/her freedoms, when that same soldier probably hated that war more than that hippie could ever imagine.
 
gonna go ahead and recommend you don't bunch in france as a pussy nation. France has been involved in iraq/afghanistan, but not through giant troop deployments. And either way, France has been fighting wars since before anyone even knew the north american continent existed.
 
It isn't necessary (and I am a huge supporter of the troops) and not even in today's society.

Ever since humans have been walking upright we have been killing each other over magical beings we have never seen.
 
there will always be unhappy people. Karma will come and go and at the end of the day it will all get sorted out or else you will have to sort them out.
 
with strength comes peace, we all cant just "get along" because everyones ideals and ambitions clash. You say "war is stupid", trust me if it were possible not to fight I'm sure we would have found a way to do it after 200,000 fucking years, unless you think humans are an incompetent race, in which case you can kill yourself and go "be with nature".
