Today is a day of celebration, for it is the closest we have come yet to legalizing Marijuana. Soon, very soon we will be able to buy ouir bud in a convenient store across the street from the school. Research shows, its less harmful than drinking, a mildly stonded person is better at driving than a regular person. And that most of the time in courts. Pot cases are being thrown out cause they are non important. The legislation is seriously considering this act, so keep our fingers crossed. They have such a strong case. We pay 5 billion a year, or something like that, to stop the drug trade, yet over the last 40 years its done nothing. they want to focus the money on other things, because they relize giving criminal records to 21,000 teens a year is just ruining their lives over such a little thing. Its so true. This is a happy day for everyone.

 
Word brother, this is gonna be sweet but the home grown shit will still be better than there store bought shit.

dude its never gone as far as the senate before, and now that they are endorsing it, well nothign can be counted out. I think people are willing to fight for it. My parents are pissed off that tax money is being used to send innocent kids to jail and shit. its gay

 
Just wondering, but what you guys think about this.. If they legalize it, what will happen to all the people in jail busted for selling weed and having it on them, to they get let free?

 
I think it will go through and we will be able to grow legally by 2005 and they will have it in stores a couple years latter. Even if it is just legal in Canada... It would be so much easier to get it in the States. There would be a huge bootlegging opperation of BC 'legal' weed in cigarette packs. I can't wait that long so i'll be fine with it being illegal until then

all the people with records get set free. It is still gonna be illegal to grow your own supposedly. just like its illegal to make alcohol without a license. People who got caught selling weed, they are usually in cause they got caught for like 10 other things as well. Must of the time if your caught then you get like a 3000 dollar fine or maybe a jail sentence. But I think most of those guys if it was for weed, then they are free, but if there was other stuff involved to, then they may just get a reduced sentence.
