yeah, anything like that really makes an impression on me because I have living relatives who served in WWII. They truly are the greatest generation. When Hanks dies at the end of Private Ryan is bad too, also, the execution scene in Braveheart. I saw that movie when it came out back in the 90s and have loved it ever since. I have probably seen it 50 plus times but that scene at the end just owns me every time. The thing is, I don't feel like a bitch crying about this stuff and I don't care who knows haha. But with the declaration scene in John Adams, seeing the unanimous (kinda, minus NY) vote to declare independence and when they read the declaration-that was just powerful for me.
