I'm going to Martha's Vineyard the 25th and I was wondering if any of the ferry's bring you close to town and where do they leave from? I'm doin some research, seems like Hyannis has a ferry that goes to the Vineyard?
I forget the names cuz i aint been there in while but the island is bassically made up of three towns with little comunities inbetween, the ferry brings you into the biggest town, and yeah you leave from hiannis
Yah Hyannis has a ferry.. I've only been to Nantucket and the ferry takes a good two hours to get there. It's worth it if you can come up with the money to just buy a plane ticket, it's like a 15 minute ride, and the view is pretty sweet.
The ferry can either go to Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs. Are you leaving from Hyannis just because that is where you're picking up the ferry? Because if that's the reason, you might want to consider going through Woods Hole, Falmouth, it's only a 45 min trip compared with 2 hrs.
Ya, I just said Hyannis cause I knew there was a Ferry. I know Falmouth though, didn't know there was a ferry out though. In the Vineyard, Would it be chill for a day to just go to the Haven?
Another question, what's more fun for a day trip... Nantucket or the Vineyard. My buddy told me a minute ago that Nantucket is much more ritzy and classy, so I'm thinking Nantucket?
Not a clue. I'm goin down for a bit of Spring Break. I'll be down near the Cape for a few days, maybe I'll go to both Nantucket and the Vineyard. What should I do when I'm there?
nantucket is like a 2 hr boat ride...it wouldn't be worth it. go to the vineyard through falmouth...45 minutes...it be quicker and the vineyard has a lot more stuff to do.
