To the Drinkers

dear newschoolers, i come to you at a time of need. our friends our having a drinking competition soon, involving games and the most consumption, we have teams of three people and im the captain. there are about 5 teams.

so if you have tips i would like to hear them (tips to drink more, not throw up, stay sober, etc...)
 
I'm unfortunately quite experienced at this - see pic of beer wall in my profile..

Do it over a long time, eat, don't mix drinks, pace yourself..skulling a beer early on will only fuck you up an hour later..

I'd be getting your tolerance up before the big day too..

Drink 5-10 beers a day each day coming into the comp, your body will take a drinking comp much better that way..

Fuck i dunno - there isn't any secret to how NOT to get drunk and throw up man, once your body has had enough, it's game over.

Consider the tactical chunder - drink along and when you feel like you are about to spew, head off to the bathroom, throw it up and then keep drinking - you'll be right for another few hours
 
o and i also have a pretty decent tollerance for my size im 120 pounds and 5'7 and on a good day ill usually drink 10-15 shots/ beers to get drunk.. so basically im just worried about throwing up
 
im only a little bigger than you and ive done half a handle in a night. you just have to eat a lot before and man up. dont worry about puking just do it stealthy, worry about passing out.
 
yooo i have a beer olympics party set up when I get back to school, probably like teams of 20-25....what games are you guys playing? I'm trying to figure out what games I should use.
 
^Yeah same deal as this guy. I would like to have a similar event this summer. What games are you all playing?
 
i dont really know if you can build up your tolerance days before the comp but i do know that staying hydrated as much as possible leading up to the comp will help you out. dont need to OD on water, just make sure your drinking enough of it each day leading up to the comp.
 
fuck that i had a whole post about this drinking game called roxanne

basically you put on the song roxanne and line up shots and when a it says roxanne 1 person takes a shot and you just go in a circle...... you could probably do this with beer like take a mouthfull? iunno it sounds fun to me
 
have a feast before the comp, eat as much as you possibly can that day and get it all in your stomach. it will slow down the alcohal digestion, allowing you to process more over a longer period of time
 
Its a great way to start off the night

..it's pretty hard to get to the 100 minute mark so it usually ends up being last man standing..once you get to about 50, it gets harder and people start missing the shot on the minute etc

even 60 shots in 60 min is tough..

100 shots is 3 litres..

So thats 3 litres, which is about 8 beers each in 100 min, which is a whole beer (@375ml) every 12.5 minutes = drunk.

Haha its funny when you think about it that way
 
i think so far we have flip cup, beer pong, the viking game, the long poor, and the heavy weights on each team have a who can drink the most before puking
 
Am I the only one to wonder what is wrong with a kid asking how to drink lots on an online forum? Just go drink and have a good time, whoever counts how much they drink always exaggerates and shit anwyay just have fun dude, who cares if you are a lightweight, as far as I'm concerned once everyone is drunk they are all having fun as long as they aren't throwing up, and judging by this thread you are gonna over drink and end up throwing up and have a shitty time.
 
the trick to not puking during century club or centurion as someone called it is to have 3 containers of beer open the whole way thru that way you get most the carbonation out of it and it doesn't build up in your stomach cause that usually how most ppl puke during that game
 
this might sound dick but you need to know when its time to cut a kid off. If they just puked give him a time out. If he shits his pants give him a blanket and tell him its way past his bed time.
 
eat some greasy fried food before hand (chicken fingers or wings are perfect) the grease slows down the bodies ability to absorb alcohol. NO BREADS it just turns to suganr in your stomach and sugar actually increases the rate at wich your body absorbs alcohol. So it wont help a ton but you are better off drinking straight alcohol than you are mixing it with soda.

Be safe tho alcohol poisoning sucks a donkey dick
 
yea if you drink oil and eat before hand you can stomach a lot more, drinking oil lines the stomach lining which is how the OH group in the alcohol is absorbed, so drinking oil prevents the alcohol from reaching the blood stream for a while, pretty much just means you wiill be able to drink someone under the table, but in the end youll be very fucked up because the oil will just wear of and be digested, and eating means some of the alchol is absorbed into the food which is digested in the small intestines or not at all, thus you can drink more.  thats all i got for you, and dont die
 
if you're just drinking light beer, you won't be too bad

but throwing in some hard A games in the latter rounds will fuck you up quickly
 
alternate you're drinks with water. so whenever you can sneak off to drink water, drink a whole glass and go back to drinking. O and if worse comes to worst. Call help if someone can't throw up and can drink water after they get real sick. We had to send my roommate to the hospital when he couldn't throw up with his .41 BAC. So have fun, get drunk, but don't be completely fucking retarded, stopping time is stopping time.
 
hahaha when I first saw that I thought you meant actual shots and I was like ummmmmm, not safe.

but yea power hour is dope, I have ipowerhour on my comp, it's an itunes app that changes the song every minute so you know when to drink... genius
 
drink as much as possible the week before the competition, then the night before eat a lot of bread and shit... that should build your tolerance
 
Make sure you get some good distraction on the other team get one of your chick friends to flash the other team you will for sure win thats how i did it at my beerfest.
 
eat a bunch of carbs- bread or pasta- beforehand. drink a bunch of water before- during the contest, if you can. dont smoke any weed cuz then youll just get all spun out. and most important, dont get alcohol poisoning. ie, somewhat know your limits, and dont go TOO far past them. oh, and take pictures and post them here.
 
just like everyone else as said....eat a good amount before hand. try to stay away from greasy foods a/k/a mcdonalds or whatnot. that stuff is no good. eat carbs so that itll soak up the booze. if you get the breaking point just boot and rally. works everytime
 
C'mon guys do not eat carbs if you want to be able to drink more. Carbs, especialy bread turn to sugars in your stomach and this in turn increases the rate at wich the body absorbs alcohol, thus getting you drunk faster. You need to eat somthing that coats the stomach liner and slows the rate at wich the body absorbs. ie- oily, greasy food. the oil and grease is what helps. Have you ever tried to scrub grease of your dishes? pain in the ass. Where as a desert plate with sugary shit or frosting rinses off with water in seconds. Kind of a poor example but you get the point.
