Alright, i know there are alot of u out there, my friend just walked into my dorm about 15 min ago, eyes all glassy, and i could tell something was wrong. He just watched his friend flip his Evo and die. Seriously, if ur gunna be racing and shit, be careful know ur limits and dont do stupid shit. Kid was 22 years old and had his whole life ahead of him...be careful, lookin cool isnt worth dieing for...+vibes to him and rip.

scary shit man, my friends brother got in an accident with two guys who were drunk, the govnt was lookin to pin the deaths on someone so now he could be goin away for a long time, he wasnt even racing though, effed up.

never good to see or know someone whos gone.

RIP

i didnt think people actually street raced. \ People have watched a little too much Fast and the Furious.

i feel ur pain bro iv lost 5 people in my life in the past 3 years.... it realy shows you how easy it is to be taken away in seconds.... iv started apreceating life allot more latley.... tell your friends and loved ones how much you apreceate them more often....

prayers go out to his family and friends....

thats why i sold my "rice burner" a few years ago. Like you said, it isnt worth it. It amazes me how a kid turning 16 gets these fast evo's, sti's, etc. Thats way too much car for a new driver. Sorry to hear is claimed your friends, friend. RIP, + vibes.

yeah i go to school about 20 min south of philly...kid has an e36 m3, but flipped his friends evo around a bend

yo that sucks. there's people who race down the boulevard in my hood at like 2 in the morning sometimes, i would seriously like to get their plates so i can report them.

RIP

you need to be really smart and cautious to street race safetly...wait oxymoron haha. but seriously kids are driving over thier heads and bad things happen. we all just gotta sloww downnn.

and to whoever said they didnt think people actually street raced...maybe it isnt big around you but i know here (40 min. north of philly) its real big. every night kids meet up at the local spots, which is fun, no doubt, but still its deff. growing. National hot spots would include basically all of florida, and houston is huuuuge. honestly youtube houston street racing and watch some vids, shits intenseeee.

++vibes dude

yea, i don't have a problem if they're taking it to some backroad with no traffic or pedestrians or something, but i'm talking about my fucking neighbourhood...i like to go for walks with my friend at night, and if somebody ever threatened our safety, especially hers, well we both know i would flip shit (from past experience haha). plus there are cars parked on the side of the road out front of my neighbours houses, if a racer slipped they would probably plow into somebody's cadillac.

wow that sucks, its always so sad to hear about people dying when they are sooooo young. like its just so unnatural and out of place, your not supposed to die when your a kid, i barely knew one kid who died, it was my friends friends brother who was 24, i had met him once before, and it just seems unreal, like you dont believe that it actually happened.
thats whats so dangerous about kids driving fast ass cars. at 22 your still a kid, you think like a kid, and tend to think your invincible (which almost seems true sometimes). its just a bad recipe for bad shit to happen.
there are some kids out there that drive their fast cars responsibly, and only drive them fast when its safe to do so and in non public areas. but really people just need to chill out and wait till they are older, i always say get a fun car, not a fast one, just some car that has somewhat good power but can handle amazingly is more fun than a car with a big engine anyway. but to kids all they care about is looking cool when they beat some guy in a mustang or whatever.

generally if your under 30, you are most likely gonna be crazy if you own a fast car. what i do for fun driving is go find snowy parking lots and drift around, or find cool back roads and just cruise them like somewhat quickly, ive driven fast cars, and ive never had fun going in a straight line, its just boring as hell. i actually race, but on a track, and in a caged car meant for it. you have to realise that a race car has a roll cage and is generally safer than any street car ever will be, but still its pretty damn dangerous. so a street car at race car speeds is just extremely dumb.

but that being said, dont be a pussy your whole life. id rather see kids racing and doing crazy shit (by themselves, not endangering others!) than sitting at home their whole life doing absolutely nothing exciting all the time, just drinking and smoking his life away, or their whole lives being about work and/or school.

sry to doublepost but +vibes but that houston street racing video was pretty crazy. u guys go so fast its rediculous thats retarted but i mean atleast you are on empty streets not really endangering other people

its always worth the extra bills to have your fun on a track, around other people who know what theyre doing. +vibes

sucks for your friend, I always have way more fun on the streets than on the track, probably because on the track I'm gettin whooped by z06's n' shit but on the road any civic is dead meat!

one of my best friends was racing near long island and hit a guard rail doing well over 100mph and died. it isnt worth it we all used to think he was the best and sickest driver, anything can happen to anyone

The track isn't the same rush that comes with the street but I'm thankful that my wrx died cause if it had not it probably would have been me. I pay my respects to all the families that have lost fellow racers...RIP

i go to hvcc! and yes i know! for a community college there are so many riced cars, but also mad nice ones too. its weird. i stick to my v6 jeep haha.

but back to the thread, i say this all the time and ill say it again. 16 years old is too young to get a license. the day i turned 16 was the best day of my life (well basically). i got my permit, started driving, and within 4 months i had my license. i was really confident, thought i could drive just fine, which i could. i was prolly a better driver then than i am now because i was way more cautious of what i was doing. but now that im older i realize the age should be raised. at 16, most people cant drive well, or even at all. you see it at ur hs. kids gettin in accidents all the time. not being able to drive around the simplest parking lots. but the thing thats the worst is reacting to certain situations. when something does happen, the inexperience of driving results in not reacting quickly and not knowing what to do at all. also, as i said i was very cautious, but wen friends were in the car, or my mind wandered off, i got sidetracked. younger kids get distracted very easily and i know wen i used to drive around with my friends we coulda easily gotten into numerous accidents no matter who it was driving. i think a lot of it occurs prolly 6 months after getting ur license and beyond. you're so confident that you've had it, that nothing will happen.

i guess i would say that permits are ok with 16 year olds cuz its with a parent, but not license. some of you older ns'ers will agree with me, but i bet most of the younger ones deff wont. its all good tho, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

but really, if they raised it to like 18, i doubt that would be any better, the reason people are dangerous at 16 is because they are inexperienced. seriously i think if i started driving now when im 18 id be more reckless than at 16, at 16 i was super cautious, like i knew that i was inexperienced. but at 18, i think it just be like fuck it and drive however i want. like when i was 16 i would hardly ever speed or do anything wrong, but now at 18 i speed everywhere, go out drifting in snow for hours etc...
i think cause at 18 we are kinda told that we are adults, and technically we are, but mentally and physically we arent yet. so the mentality that we are equal to a 30 year old, but still with a little kids immaturity, cockyness, and the thought that we cant be hurt, its a bad combination.

i see what you're saying but if people had to have their permits for 2 years or whatever, it'd better peoples driving experience before they go out on their own. it atleast needs to be restricted for more than 20hrs of practice tho...thats awfull.

I got my "permit" at 14. I think that giving the permit out at a younger age is better because it gives you more time behind the wheel with a responsible adult. I got my real license at 16 and I feel that I'm a far better driver than my friends who only had their permits for 6 months.

theres no way to regulate 20 hours of driving atleast in ny its a sheet ur parents sign plus i think that 2 years of permit would suck even more and make kids want to speed more because driving with a parent sucks always yelling at you, etc and 2 years of that would make me want to kill myself and would make me want to drive more reckless when i finally could drive on my own. plus so much of learning to drive is making mistakes and learning from them not saying like accidents but just driving in general that you cant get driving with a parent

yeah there are a good bit of "races" around here. but really they're retarded. a bunch of kids in like eclipses and shit thinking they can race. it's usually at like 2 in the morning and empty streets which is about as safe as it gets. shit's crazy and definitely fun, but there are risks with anything fun...

sorry about the loss man.
