Hey guys, I started up a ski and snowboard club at Cap a couple weeks ago, basically we'll be going to whistler every sunday this winter starting January 11th. Cost is 20$ to whistler and back, for anyone that doesn't have a seezy pass intrawest is selling them on our bus for 73$ instead of the 89$ you'll pay at the hill. So anyone that's interested, hit me up with your e-mail and you can snag spots on the bus every weekend. PEace.

ya shoulda added that in there thanks. you don't have to be a student at cap to take the bus you just have to know someone and you 'know' me. just adding that in there. should be fun times.

Just called a whole bunch of bus companies and did the pitch. Got it for a real good price so it may be lowered in the mid year if theres enough extra funds to cut costs, i just want to make it as inexpensive as possible for peeps.

and i'll be skiing seymor and working there this winter, are you living in the cove these days darina?

yes it's going to leave from cap at 8am on the dot every sunday morning, and im gonna put a stop possibly at park royal for people on the other side of north van.

Not to rain of your parade because you're doing a cool thing, but 8am man??? The pow will be long gone by the time you make it up there. Change that to 6:30 and you're set!

+1... or 7am at least. But you have to admit, 20 bucks is cheaper than the greyhound fsho.

wow this would be perfect if it did leave earlier.. i work saturdays and I figured I wouldn't be able to get up sundays.. but cool.

might kick it back to 7 30 or 7 45, basically if everyone on my list is there at those times the bus can leave early.

ahaha east van. I just quit my job bartending cause it dies down in the winter and i got a job as a lifty at seymour

^thats with the tax.

O ya to anyone that's interested on top of messaging me your email join the facebook group for all updates. It's 'Cap-Whistler bus'. Trying to get a good base of people together so buses are possible every week. basically the more people you tell the more buses i can run.

I GO TO CAP!
yesyesyes for this one i will be on the bus everyyy sunday!
slash other then deedeee does anyone else go to cap?

I'll do it for 15.

PRICE WARS.

Shaun you should charge people $20 apiece to ski with you.

cool man, have fun with that.

...last time i checked cars didnt have 56 college and university students who all share the same interest, free giveaways from ski and snowboard companies, TV's playing brand new ski and snowboard movies, bathrooms, all reclining seats, extra leg room, deals on passes, wicked parties during and afterwards, and non profit organizations (no one is making anything off this bus)

i'll be down if you go up saturday and come back sunday.

When i lived on campus at ubc i tired to get the snow bus going from ubc to seymour on tuesday nites or something but the bus companies basically told me that greyhound had provincial legislation over bus routes and owned there ass so they couldn't do it. Hoooow lame is that?

yea thats pretty harsh man, i know greyhound pretty much owns squamish, you cant have a bus stop there. You can always get a one way back to Vancouver on our bus (15$) on Sunday. I really want to run it Saturday and Sunday but can't until I get a lot more interest. I have about 150 members now in the Capilano Ski and Snowboard club and I'm thinking to do Saturday AND Sunday I'm gonna need over 500. I'm aiming for 300 members before the new year. So tell all your friends! you'll help me out a lot and I'd really appreciate it and in the end it will help you because the more people the more buses. I'm not doing this for myself at all.

Damn, 500 people needed for both Sat and Sun. Why so?
PS - Not to be selfish or nothing, but Cap skiers should get first priority, then we can let the Cap boarders and non-Cap skiers duke it out....

the 500 thing is just a guestimate, i basically jsut want that many because not everyone is gonna go every single weekend you know, some people are gonna go once or twice some people will go everytime some people might not even go at all.

You do have a priority going to cap, tickets are sold at CSU and in the caf, im sure you'll be able to get them before anyone else because you'll already be at school, you can also buy dates in advance and you get a deal. 5 buses in advance is 90$ (19$ a bus) (instead of 100$) and all 14 buses in advance is 245$ (regular 280$). To anyone that doesn't go to cap just buy your ticket at the start of the week and you'll be guaranteed a spot, i want all you ns'ers on it.

You can buy your ticket for the first bus (January 11th 2009) and anyother sunday you want starting MONDAY NOVEMBER 24th IN CSU (BY FILM SCHOOL). For really good info I highly suggest you join th facebook group. (Cap-Whistler Bus)

can i just tell you to reserve me a seat or somthing a few days in advance? cuase that would make it alot easier for me and i dont really want to go to the bus stop and find out the bus is full..

like i said, you can pay for days way in advance, so if you want to do that (which you should), you'll also save money that way. But I can't reserve you a seat until i have the money in my hands, that's the way it works. Once you've paid you are on the bus, there are no refunds, unless lets say the bus can't run cause mountain highway had a landslide or some shit like that. Maybe once I get to know you better I'll let you do that but for now I can't cause if i reserve you a seat and you don't show up I don't know where you live to come break your legs ;). 2 days before the bus leaves on every weekend I'll post on the facebook group how many free spots there are left on the bus, and you can show up and get a non-guaranteed spot or you can come meet me and give the money. That's all for now, if you have any other Q's feel free to shoot me a message.

shaun knows how i roll.. I pay the man in coffee crisp.. right shauny boy.

But cap college ski bus tour de whistler is an illin idea mengg. Props to you for roundin this up together and i'll probly be on one if not a few of the shuttles your runnin up there alongside some other NSers...

yea sorry bud, it's just cause theres gonna be a bunch of university kids getting hammed on the bus, im going out on a limb to accept the 16 and 17 year olds but i think it will be cool for them. maybe if i run more buses in the future you know.
