I had surgery on my ACL over a year ago and my knee still gets sore when I ride in a car for long periods and hurts when i kneel on it... My question to you is does yours still hurt and if not what did you do for continued therapy? Do you weight train it? How long did it take for the pain to recede? Also its ruining my ski season cause it gets sore on the slopes as well... and yeah I wear a brace; doesn't seem to help all that much

If you had a patellar tendon graft, which I did, the scar tissue in you knee makes it painfull to kneel. I've noticed the pain getting less intense as time goes on. My knee does get sore occasionally on long car rides also, especially if i'm crammed in the back seat. My guess is that it will go away with time too, hopefully.

I had my surgery 3 years ago.

After sitting for long periods of time, like in a car, my knee still gets sore and stiff. It was definitely the worst for the first year and a half, then it got quite a bit better but more recently I've let my muscles go a little and its gotten worse, so having stronger flexible muscles helps a lot.

Kneeling hurts too, cause I have a screw sticking out a bit right under my knee and it creates a huge pressure point on it, and that will be there forever for me.

I had a hamstring graft + 2 meniscus repairs...

I fucked up my knee a couple years ago but never got it looked at, i just thought it was a ridiculous sprain or something but what you guys are saying about it getting sore in car rides happens to me. Also when i ski sometimes ill land and it just fucking kills.

mine get sore after extensive amounts of skiing and also being in cars or airplanes for extended periods of time, oh yeah its been almost 4 years

my dad has a ton of trouble with his knee. hes torn his left acl twice, the last time was 20? years ago.
but.. he doesnt have any cartiledge either.

my friend had ACL sergery not to long ago and he said it still hurts like bitch. i know this doesnt help you but w.e. hope it works out

so i had acl surgey three months ago and two weeks ago i started running and three days ltr it swelled up on me it went away in two days and it just swelled up on me again yesterday, whats going on?

yep i have that, not an acl surgery but i tore open the front of my leg so it's scar tissue all the way down to the bone on my upper shin and when i kneel or get hit there it really hurts, kind of like pins an needles but deep insideit's getting better but it's still bad

my mom tore her acl back in the day and did everything normal just wore a brace for strenuous activity for 15 years and finally got it repaired last summeryou can function with a torn acl

ive got the same problem... had my surgery 13 months ago, but yeah when ever im crammed in a car it hurts, ive also found that doing leg curls make the front of my knee like pattelar area feel like its going to explode litterally, so i dont do those anymore
my medial meniscus area still hurts all the time, like im wandering if i need to get arthoscopic on it... but maby its still trying to grow back....
