To all the wakebaorders

Your rite and wrong.

Malibu wakesetter vlx comes stock 1300ish pounds of ballast. then if you sack it you can add 750 in the back, two 400s in the middle and a 400 up front, o ya and the power wedge add 1200. Grand total........ 4450 pounds. So ya i lied.

I hate to say it, but he's right. It does look shopped. The angle on the line of the kid doing the raley looks really steep. I've seen plenty of doubles raleys, so I know it's possible, but something about it just looks off...

Dude it definitely is. by the looks of the water in between the wakes that boat is only going like 15, which is a good speed to tow that small kid at but definitely not for throwing raleys, also you can't even see the wake at all because they are so wide due to the boat's slow speed. and as i mentioned the lines are basically parallel, which is not possible if they are coming of the same tower. it is definitely possible to do a raley over someone, but this pic is shopped man.

nice shop job though.

why do people think its photoshopped people raely over other people all the time int he wakeboarding world. the wake does look kinda werid but the ropes seem ok that guy is more in line with the tower so the angle of the rope looks different its not like thats some super impossible stunt its actually quite common

exactly, its not at all something that uncommon, me and my friend ride doubles and throw down over eachother all the time....

i do not wakeboard, wakeboarding is sick though. ALLLTHOUGGGGHHH pro wakeboarders are probably the biggest douche bag faggots off all the extreme sports them and maybe surfers.

because i grew up on lake sammamish in washington and my one friends brother was friends with like 10 pro wakeboarders. they would come out on his boat all the time and they were huge tool douche bags. also from watching fuel tv and seeing how the talk and interact with others.

Ya some can definitely be the kind of people who know there better than you and they want to make sure you know it to. But ive met guys like Adam Errington, Dean Smith, Chad Sharpe, Jimmy La riche, and Shane Bonifay. There super nice dudes that love there sport and want everyone to love it as much as them. Ya they talk all hipster and shit but they prolly think we are weird for saying things like steezy and illin.

to an extent he is right, pro wakeboarders tend to be giant douchebags, the amount of money you have to have to be able to become a pro wakeboarder is ridiculous... you need a boat that throws a nice wake (eventually), somewhere to drive said boat for extended periods of time, somewhere to keep the boat in while it is in the water, somewhere to keep said boat, a truck to tow said boat, money to pay for gas for said boat, and at least one person to drive said boat (legally in canada you need two).

haha chill out man, don't get your dick all bent out of shape, i'm just stating my opinion that's all. this picture is not even of you, no need to go all defensive here

true, but when you are rich before you are pro, mixed with the money you make from being pro, there tend to be a few over inflated douchebag pros that are in it for the wrong reasons

adam errington in like the kindest human being to ever exist, plus, he sorta looks like a little wodland animal. i just want him to be my friend forever.

and to whever is is saying that photo is shopped... you are fucking insane. my friends and i jump over each all the time, not even doing raleys, just regular airs and grabs. its not that hard and it totally possible/believable, chill out.

when you are sponsored by a company that gives you a $100 000 boat every year and you are allowed to do with as you please when you get your new one, you make some nice money haha

i love wakeboarding soooo much, even though im out every weekend and i still suck haaha ive jumped the wake a few times. i havnt tried as much stuff recently cuz im still scared from when i caught my toe edge hard last year and went facefirst into the water ending up with a pretty bad concussion.

i really wanna try wakeskating though, looks like sooo much fun.

also, who doesnt love some kneeboarding

slack is the key to a 3. a front 3 on the heelside is effing hard i think. rite as you leave the wake pull the rope to either the small of your back rotate the handle a grab the bastard. the landing is a bitch. for me at least.

to everyone who helped me out with this, just wanted to let you guys know that i cleared it today for the first time! i was going just short all day and finally got in after dinner as the sun was setting. Pretty perfect setting! thanks again for all the help everyone! i will post some pictures tomorrow after I go back out.

nice, glad we could be of help. clearing the wake is probably the biggest obstacle in wakeboarding, once you get that everything comes a lot easier

dude your advice is not correct...... no rope cranking or sitting back

cut out a have a progressive edge to the wake. cut harder as you get closer with your knees bent slightly and when your riding up the wake unbend a lil and you'll fly. only flatten out if your doing tantrums. feel free to pm me about anything wakeboard related

sorry this is a little bit late guys. Today was the first day that I started clearing the wake every hit with ease. Still have to work on my form and popping harder for more air. But Thanks again for all the help and here are a couple hits. and since I'm in a good mood +k to everyone that helped. haha and a couple pics

also guys, rope length suggestions? Wake is pretty small right now. I think I want to go further back for a wider clear. And hopefully add some weight next summer for bigger air.

What kind of boat do you have? I would go 70ft and stay there for awhile.

Your wake is pretty rolly. I would throw some weight in that bad boy. We use to just tell as many noobs as possible that we were going tubing when really we just wanted them in the boat so we could have a big wake haha.

personally, i would stay shorter until you get more consistent at clearing the wake and learn good technique first. if you go straight to a longer length and just keep hucking until you get it youre going to develop bad habits and it will be harder to break them and learn new tricks properly. it depends entirely on what the shape of your wake is, but if you find you are starting to really huck just to clear the wake, bring the line in one length so you can clear it easier, and then learn to clear it properly and how to take your wake to wakes out into the flats

mastercraft prostar 205. I'm planning on adding some weight for next summer, I think I am going to have to get custom sacks made though. but yeah the wake is pretty mellow right now.

i just learned the other dayu want to cut out as hard as u can then start in slowly and then the closer u get the harder u want to cut and when u get to the wake u want to be on ur edge, then pop as hard as u can

so it looks like this

l l l l -------- l l ------ l l ---- l l --- -- - - -

some of my buddies actually put lead in the storage in the back. we used tractor weights for surfing sometimes. You can pretty much go as getto as you want with weight.

you pic was sic too. and the guy above is right, progressive edge is what its called.
