To all of you out there who take creotine and protien.

That stuff is shit. Not the shit. Shit. Unless you are a competitive biker, swimmer, runner, or whatever, if you take it it will do nothing for you. I swam for 10 years, I went to nationals and shit, and everyone there took that shit, So for the last 2 years of my swimming career, I used protein and crotien, and both worked zilch. Creotine helped with my energy level a bit. Like when swimming really fast and your about to burn out, it gave you the muscle mass for the last 25 meters. Nothing special, some extra training would do the same, and for protein that is just a marketing sceem. What it does is gives your muscles more food basically and the protien turns into muscle as well. But, the side effect is, if you quit working out, for even 1 or 2 weeks, the extra muscle you have made off of the protein turns to water and is flushed out of your system. It is not as strong as real muscle and just basically increases your look. In my opinion if you do not do a highley competitive strength demanding sport, then its not worth taking. If you take that shit all summer and then start skiing and injure yourself or just do not work out during the ski season, all that extra muscle that you made from eating that shit, is wasted, not to mention the 60 bucks you spent on it and the hours of having to chugg that nasty stuff. I started taking it when they didn't put in artifical taste, it was pure hell, but now with the artifical taste it isn't as strong. Overall the shit is good. Its not bad, but it isn't good, so why waste 100 dollars on suppliments when you could spend that on some other cool shit. Like beer. If your gonna take it, don't and if you already are stop, believe me, I have gone through the programs and after you are done using it, it just wares away within like 2 months, not worth it.

It is way too long and BOOORING!! And on top of that we dont have the motivation or reading skills to get through that whole post. Your swimming story was kinda lame.

 
yeah sorry you dont know what your talking about...you have a general idea but somethings you just dont know. yes creatine puts more creatine and insulin into your muscles so when you are lifting or doing an intense sport with a lot odf running or something it just produces more ATP so your musles dont get fatigued as fast. protien is a food for you muscles and after you work out it helpes the muscle grow back.

yeah i did it and i got really good results but i did it on cycles, i was smart about shit, ya know. i went off it a month ago and i weigh more than when i went off it, its also good because it gets all the excess fat out of your body.

First of all everyone's body is different and reacts to that stuff in different ways. Every time I have cycled creatine it has helped out immensely. It helped me get by plateaus, gave me extra energy and helped with fatigue. As for protein your muscles need it to grow and any excess amount of protein wont wash your muscles away after you stop working out.

if you were taking protien with the creatine then you were diminishing the effect it has on your muscles, i only know from experience, its main use is to allow your muscles to use more water which removes the lactose, or lactic acid from them quicker which shortens your recovery time

ggrrr this is what gives supplements such as creatine a bad name, because a whole bunch of uninformed people start saying what they THINK it does, when really it's only half the story.

When you work out, the ATP molecule breaks apart as is no longer usable. What creatine does is bind itself to the broke ATP molecule, allowing it to be processed right away. This helps to reduce lactic acid buildup which allows you to work out longer.

It is absolutely necessary to take protein while you are on creatine. Protein is used to help your muscles recover from the micro-tears that are caused in your muscles when you work out. If you don't increase your protein intake you run the risk of tearing your muscles because they will not properly heal after every workout.

ALWAYS ask a doctor if you are thinking about taking any sort of supplements like this because you are changing the chemical balances in your body which can be risky business sometimes!

I took creatine for about 2 months and i got the same results as I get without taking creatine~~While I was on it i was also drinking like 1 1/2-2 gallons of water daily because my doctor said that there have been no long term tests and it could cause kidney damage so i drank that much water so that it could help wash out my kidneys better~~now for the summer i think im just gonna take like a protien shake and eat all good stuff for ya so that I can get bigger and faster

All in all the best thing you can do for your body while working out is drink at least 80 ounces of water per day and eat right.

As for working out, the best thing you can do is concentrate on form (not necessarily weight) and always change your routine about every two months. You don't want to keep working the same muscle fibers and allow your body to get used to the motions and cause progression to cease.
