im going to start to put a signature or a logo on all my photos now, and ive had a couple ideas of what i want but nothing solid yet, so im coming to newschoolers for help, im looking for something that includes my initals (T.W), my name (Tim Warren), or both (T. Warren), and the word photographry, something maybe with my name in bolder or different font and photography below it in script, im up for any ideas you creative people have and im willing to reward your work if you come up with a legit logo for my photography

frankly, unless you're a really good photographer, you don't need it. and most kids that want to watermark there stuff end up with a horrible looking one.

anyway in photoshop, just make something thats unobtrusive and probably slightly transparent. Then again unless it's huge, I could easily remove mostly anything in photoshop.

if u wanna throw ur name in it when u submit it to a contest, do it. but to batch add a logo, bad. and make sure u dont put a (c) on it unless you have actually gone to a judge and stuff.

Whoa NS just wigged out on me. I dont know why the letter spacing on that is so off either...

yea well i plan on taking alot of photos this winter and just had a two day shoot at a local skatepark and got a shitload of shot and i want to mark the really good ones that i put on facebook for the use of the skaters that i shot, right now my only way to share my photography is through facebook until i get a website which eventulally mid winter i hope to have one,

basically by marking my shot and then that person uses it as their profile picture and everyone sees it that 300+ people exposed to my photography and hear about me therefore making a name for myself as a photographer

Not true. You can use the copyright symbol as much as you want. The moment your photo is created, it is instantly copyrighted. Any thing you create is actually instantly copyrighted. And it is safe for 70 years after you die.
The only reason to apply for an actual copyright is if you want to, you can get compensatory payment for any damages caused by another person using your image.
So really, adding your name to an image is really just good for getting your name out there. I suggest putting it on your images if you have really great images. Otherwise you may be damaging yourself if you put it on your bad ones.

i like the font that photography is in, can you put my name in something more handwritting, when i write my signiture i connect all my letters and my T top drags across my first name and the N in Warren comes across my last name and back

Why not just put your signature on it? write your name a bunch on white paper with a black pen and then take a picture. Put it into photoshop, apply the cut out filter and up the contrast and you should have a pretty clean looking signature.

^ What she said. Grab a couples pieces of white paper and a med. point BIC pen and write out your sig a bunch of times, make it look nice, then scan it in. If you just throw up a scan on Photobucket or something I'd happily put it in for you.
