TJ Schiller Pro Model

he doesnt have one yet, he has been riding on the el ray in comps recently, and besides that on the pipecleaners

the elray is the new cap ski they cma eout with this year, it is cheaper than their other stuff but its still a good ski, its just cheaper cause its cap, and its targeted to compete with less expensive skis out there, its actually a really solid ski, tj was asked to ride it in a comp to show its park capability and he seemed to like it so he has riden it in other stuff since

Ding ding ding....

marketing. Like the dude said earlier in this thread... he had never seen it before. that's because no one on the Armada team uses it because it's the lower end ski. Now just by using it in that comp so many people know it exists.

I don't think there would be so much difference in performance between el rays and , say , pipe cleaners that it would matter much for a pro like TJ

to be honest, even though its cap, and a cheaper ski, its still a really good solid ski, and it would be better than any park specific ski from a few years ago, and when ur a pro skier u should be able to ski on anything, especially when ur at the calibre of skier as tj

He was back on AR6's at keystone last saturday, 08/09's, they are kinda yellow on top and have white bases with pink lettering, pretty cool looking

very likely. armada has done that in a couple pipe comps. They've had pipe cleaners with ar6 graphics before pipe cleaners were in production. Also they've had riders use thall graphics for marketing reasons. Obviously the skis aren't thalls because detuned edges and the flex aren't conducive for pipe. then again, he could really be using elrays and actually like them. either way its all for marketing

yeah i though the AR6 was TJs main ski... thats what the site sais.. and i always see him on them in vids...

I'm not sure it would be usefull, since they already have a specific ski for everywhere. They made the hall to have a park specific ski, softer and all, and they had the JPvsJulien as the big mountain ski, before the ARG. So I don't know if he will, or maybe I don't understand why they make pro models

i also don't expect a tj promodel, but the ants are their big mtn ski, while the JJs are a powder/ backcountry jib ski

the only way i could see tj getting a promodel is if they decided to make something different than what they already offer. i dont see them replacing any of their existing skis with a tj pro, but possibly a symmetrical ski? who knows, maybe tj is satisfied with what he already has and isnt pushing for a pro model

i htink tj deserves a pro model but i don't see a need for a new ski.

but heres a joke i just thought of. maybe someone else thought of it before but whatev

What kind of skis do pirates ride? ARRRRRRmadas

its the el rey. idk why hes riding it in comps though.. maybe it is lighter b/c of the cap construction?

never gonna happen, the founders skis aren't going anywhere

I think a TJ model would probably be redundant, I think of him as a park/pipe skier and they already have pipe cleaners/t-halls/AR6's which pretty much covers all of the types, the only one I think they could use would be an invader style cheap symmetric ski

or the thall changes from a soft park ski to more of a backcountry ski because Tanner seems to be getting into that more, then have a tj pro model

I just bought and watched Believe, and Tanner rode the ARG's the whole movie except one scene when he rode the JJ's. All comp season he was on the Pipe cleaner -- so why does he need a pro model that a park ski? Correct me if I am wrong, but did Tanner compete in any slope style comps this past year? Since TJ is their slope style go-to, it would make more sense to me to give him that ski as his own.

I agree, and I dont really want to get into the Tanner and Pow/Park dilemma, but I dont think his pro models should be a park specific ski. Considering hes always in the pow, he should have a ski that he actually uses. Whats the point in having your own pro model ski and never ride it?

I think the answer to that question is advertising. More people know about Tanner than TJ. But a TJ vs. T-Hall would be sick

yea I never understand how some pros have skis they dont really use. Like Tanner and Pep. Both of them have park skis but they ride powder skis majority of the time. Kinda wierd. They should switch them to a different ski or just drop the name.

yeah tanner doesnt do much slopestyle/park skiing he does pipe but there is already the pipe cleaner. and tj skis mostly park still so a better park ski would be the TJ pro model cause it would be used more by pros

Maybe make the Pipe Cleaner LTD the Tanner Hall pro model, then switch over the THall to a TJ model. It'd keep the same amount of skis, but possibly add more for their marketing scheme.
