Jibtech also edited Session 1242. Bow before his majesty.

...Except you really can't understand half the crap he's saying on the director commentary track thing. Spit your sandwich out next time, Dave, that mumbling was epic.

When the truth is, I miss you.

Yeah the truth is, that I miss you so.

And I'm tired...

I should not have let you go.

pretty much the only thing i remember dave saying in that commentary was "and i'm dave levin, i edited *mumblemumblemumble*"

hey jibtech, is it because they are softer than the ar5 and can match the transition of the pipe easily?

the t hall's are softer, way better for pumping tranny's, whereas the ar5's are stiffer and more stable on bigger jumps.

Aptly you have no idea who he is do you? And i dont mean that in a negative way i just dont thin you know who you are talkin to about Armada!!

so does anyone actually know the answer? It really doesnt make sense to me that his pro models are designed for slopestyle yet he doesnt use them in slopestyle. Why wouldn't Armada built the ski exactly how he wants it to perform, so he uses it for its intended purpose. As of now the T-Hall isn't really a pro model as much as a random ski named after someone.

TJ Schiller won US Open Big Air last year with T-Halls...

I think they use different skis just to make some advertising...

the reason why they use the ar5 in slopestyle is because they are going off bigger jumps in which they need a stiffer ski to support them in their landing... The tanner hall and the ar5 have the exact same construction besides the fact that the thalls have a softer flex pattern which they apparently like for half pipe.. as far as the detuned rails go... if you have actually taken the time to put your finger on the rail ... its not that big of a difference and one run across an edger will correct the detuned edge.

wow, so much bitching and arguing over this haha. kinda ridiculous, anyway i don't see why it would be so far fetched for them to want to use the Thalls in the pipe because of the soft flex which would obviously help with the steep tranny of a pipe wall. And on the same note, the AR5 is designed for park, so why not use it for that. I'm sure they could use either one and be successful but i guess thats just how it works out. Here's an analogy, why use park skis in powder if you have powder skis? makes sense right

There is no way that pros would want a soft flex for pipe. A soft ski (especially in the tail) will mean that when you try to go big, your momentum will fold the tail at the lip and you will deck. STIFF tails are crucial for going big in pipe.

Why the hell should'nt i speak, what do you know that I don't, this thread is alf a year old and i was told by the rep (that has now left the company to work for anon) that it could be a pipe ski. It aint my fault. And what i wrong with apologizing when i reconized i made a mistake. why dont you shut the fuck up and say something constructive

my park sticks are totatlly detuned so i dont catch an edge on takeoff, and they are greasy as hell on the rails...my pipe sticks were razor sharp tip to tail and were money in the pipe, then i de-tuned them ONLY underfoot and left the rest razor sharp. They then proceded to suck balls in the pipe. You need edges where your weight is dumbass.

yea i agree that doesnt really make sense... i ride t halls and they defnlty dont edge for shit especially on ice like most pipes are

I love how everybody's saying that you don't really need sharp edges to turn....why would they be on the ski if you didn't need them? Just think of trying to turn down the hill on a 2X4, it's just like that except on a much smaller scale, and with shape, so not really like that at all. But hopefully you get my point from that crappy analogy.

i'de say its personal preference for them. maybe they just like the thalls better in the pipe and ar5's in the park, who really knows

Easy Levin.... Easy man. It's late and you're gonna kill someone.

Pat, I'll solve the puzzle for nothing:

They ski whatever ski they ski because they like it?

Please, please. Save your applause.

Wow, this thing is back from the dead and everyone is still wrong!

I guess people will figure it out in about a month and a half. Maybe. Actually, probably not.

about 99% of the people on this website have no idea what they are talking about and should shut up and listen to Jibtech he knows what's up.
