Tired of the Ads?

After hearing people complain about these necessary evils, this is a good solution. It blocks pretty much all ads and is free and easy to set up. Newschoolers gets money, you don't have to be bombarded with ridiculous advertisements, everyone wins.

Disclaimer: I haven't personally tried the Safari version but it looks legit. And I'm pretty sure this isn't the case, but if somehow Newschoolers only gets paid per click or something similar this might not be the greatest idea. Hope this helps!
 
Some of them are definately weird but when I think about the increase in revenue from ads leading to sick new things like the US Open coverage, I suck it up and just scroll down.

And Ryno^, I'm pretty sure that NS still gets revenue even if you black them. If not, then of course we should just suck it up and deal with the ads, but if they still get the money then we can still have sick coverage and not have to assaulted with stupid ads.
 
Sadly the revenue is hurt by turning on ad blockers. Less impressions + less clicks = less revenue.

I know that these ads are really annoying, but we're trying to prune them a little (we can block some of the worst ones) and as well I'm busting my ass to get more ski sponsors in there.

If you can find it in your hearts to not install ad blockers that would be amazing. I will surely do everything in my power to get you better ads going in there, its just a bit of a process and will take some time. These annoying ads are really bringing in dollars where we came short with advertisers, but the #1 goal right now is to replace them ALL with decent advertisers.

 
Looking forward to it! I'm getting tired of seeing "Find your graduating class", in places there used to be skiing pics.

But I guess more money for NS is definitely a good thing.
 
I don't even notice ads anymore... seriously the only time I realize they're actually there is when i read threads like this.

So never mind this then, at least for NS. I guess we'll just have to suck it up and deal with the ads, I'd gladly trade that for the amount of sick new shit NS has been pumping out.

clicking on adds good, blocking them bad...don't block!! who even looks at that shit anyways, i don't even know its there.
 
I do, every time I want to see Alexi and his yellow pants do some mind-bending nose grab on the top of my screen, and there's some stupid ad shielding his glory from my eyes. Plus, being ad-free is just the cool thing to do these days. Once a week I'll get really high and click on ads nonstop for an hour to make up for my blocking, I promise.
 
Honestly, the ads don't bother me at all. Except for sometimes it blocks the top banner (The education you want. The way you want it - no thanks...still in high school). I hardly notice them there, though, and it's just part of the site to me now. As long as NS are still getting their $$ and not using stupid popup ads then I'm happy.

Do you guys get paid per click or paid for that ad space? In fact, I'm going to click at least one ad a day now.
 
i was just about to make a thread about this. could it be that these shitty ads are delaying my page loadage? cause fuck man every time i click something on this site it takes like 4 days (exaggeration) for it to load. it never used to be like this :(
