go in november before all the good jobs get scooped,

Bring lots of money to get set up-

seasons pass about $1400 unless your under 19 then is only $900 or so, food is really expensive,

good luck-

ya i suggest bring lots of mac and cheese and food like that with you, cus it will save you alot of money..

how much does renting a 1 br or 2 br place roughy run?

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It also helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer. -- Frank Zappa

what jobs should i look for, like a liftie or should i try to get a job working in a shop or something?

shusi village ;) dishwasher....

As for working on the mountain, i would advise against it if you want to ski as much as possible,

they kill your ski time, because you work during the ski period, so your always done after skiings finished for the day,

the best way is to volly for the mountain and get a mountain pass....

get TOP RAMEN, 10CENTS, then use the rest of ur money for beer, and settle down under the bridge by the skate park....just put down a tent, and sleepin bag, u'll be set

If you're looking for a job go to blackcomb.com and check out the job fair thing.. I was thinking of going up there and working for the whole summer next year.. is anyone else staying there next summer?

Smoking pot leads to uhh... I forget.

shit man that is going to bbe really hard because they have so many people to take the jobs they prob wont take u if they have to under the table none of the big restaurants will

food isnt that expensive some things are

Start looking for a place and a job early. I ended up w/ a place w/ 12 of us and we each pay 600 per month. it's close to the village though so it's alright. If you want a cheap place to live work for the mountain then you can live in staff res. I work part time for the mountain, so i'll be able to ski a lot and still afford to pay for rent and food.

12 people at 600 a month?? That's $7200 a month...and that is fucking stupid. I'd rather ski somewhere else than pay over seven grand a month for RENT

yes i know. it sucks ass. but whatever, 600 isn't that huge of a deal. the lady who rents out the house to us is getting so much money off of us. I didnt 'know the ppl i was moving in w/ to begin w/ it;s just a house and you rent a room. the other house that she's got in Emerald has 23 ppl, and they pay like 500 a month. that's shitty.

At least your not at the brio hor house,

on eaglesnest drive,... Oh wait,

thats' a great deal, Check out the house in BRIO!!!

unless your a student you need a 'letter of offer' to get a work visa.....Whistler wont give letters of offer, so as far as working for the mountain its basically impossible for an american.....if anyone has ever figured out a way to get around this id like to hear it.
