this upcoming season im planning on throwing some backies , anyone got any tips?

such as was size jump i should prbably hit, any position etc, pls let me know! Thanks!

don't hesitate . just say fuck it and throw it. also make sure you throw with your hips and not your head.

as far a jumps go, pick medium sized one. it will give you more time to bring it around.

yeah what ever you feel comfortable on

if you can stomp them on a tramp your a lot better off. and when actually doing it, just huck it! its better to over rotate than to catch your tips and eat it hard. good luck man

30ft sounds good i think my first backflip was on something smaller. Just make sure to not underrotate, my first attempt was overotated to butt slap and i got it on the second try easy. I was only able to do a backie on a tramp once before so it's a lot easier on snow.

haha thats releaving i thought on snow it would be way harder but thanks !

Backflips are intimidating the first few times. I've only done them on to airbags and I plan to go to snow in the next season as well. My best advice is to think of it as throwing any other new trick. Don't think of it as your first invert or as a backie. When I first tried it on an airbag I thought of it as just another new trick. Like going for your first 5 after doing 3s. That helped me with the mental aspect of it. Now you just gotta send it. The most you can really do to work up to it is tramp, then an airbag, then snow

If you have the chance airbag, it helps bring up confidence doing the trick with your skis on your feet. I tried my first backflip last week at camp and i underotated due to a shitty jump that they closed right after i did it to reshape but the airbag gave me what the feel for doing the trick was.

not necessarily harder, but definetly different. In my opinion the feeling is something totally different if you throw them on snow.
